The National Maritime Museum (2.5 miles) and Pendennis Castle (3 miles) are both in Falmouth, 1 mile along the river, with the castle perched on the headland overlooking the harbour entrance. A ferry from Falmouth Harbour crosses the water to the Roseland Peninsula, where undeveloped coastline and sheltered bays line the shore.
