We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Retreat at Rainbow Vista from February 13–16, 2026. The property truly lives up to its name, the views are breathtaking, peaceful, and incredibly inspiring. It was the perfect setting for our retreat.The home is spacious, clean, and very well maintained. With plenty of room for our group, everyone felt comfortable. The hot tub, and games room were fantastic additions and gave our guests opportunities to relax and connect outside of our scheduled retreat time.Kathryn and James were exceptional hosts, responsive, kind, and very accommodating throughout the entire process. They were easy to communicate with and genuinely care about their guests’ experience. Their hospitality made everything smooth and stress-free.We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to host our retreat in such a beautiful space and would absolutely love to return in the future. Highly recommend this property for large groups, retreats, or family gatherings!— Sunil

I recently rented The Retreat at Rainbow Vista and had an amazing experience. The host’s open and detailed communication made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The house offers the most beautiful daytime views, which truly made the stay special. It comfortably accommodated my party of 16 and was the perfect venue to celebrate my birthday. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to get away from everyday life while still being conveniently located just one hour outside of San Diego. Myself and some of my guests will be renting this property again.

We had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful home! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the house was spotless, comfortable, and so spacious—truly even better than the photos! The pictures really don’t show how gorgeous this place is. The host was amazing, always communicating with us and responding so quickly. We felt very welcomed and well taken care of. We would love to come back again!

We've stayed at other VRBO homes for Family Christmas celebrations the past 3 years. This home was definitely our best experience of all stays. The views were spectacular. Make sure to bring binoculars to bird watch... saw hawks and bluebirds. Inside house was very open on main level. Vinyl plank flooring made for easy cleanup with our five toddler grandkids. Main Kitchen was well equipped. Additional downstairs kitchen came in handy for preparing multiple dishes at the same time. Oh, almost forgot to mention, this was first time an attached garage was available for us at a VRBO. This was much appreciated because we arrived on Christmas Eve afternoon during a rainy downpour. This home was most welcoming and accommodating for our dog. The yard is not fenced, but there was plenty of space for her to roam inside and play with grandkids. The host is a great communicator and definitely wanted to make sure everything went well on our visit. Finally, I just need to mention that two of the grandkids did not want to leave... too much fun playing with their cousins....especially when using their bubble machines on the massive outside deck.

This home exceeded all of our expectations. It is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views that made our stay unforgettable. Everything was exactly as described, yet even better than we imagined. The house was fully equipped with thoughtful amenities, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We chose this home to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday, and it was the perfect place—she had an amazing time and loved every moment. James and the team were outstanding: responsive, kind, and welcoming throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
