We rented this home for my son’s wedding, paying nearly 1,200 per night, and were deeply disappointed by its condition. The kitchen was barely functional: refrigerator didn’t stay cold, ice maker and dishwasher were broken, oven worked intermittently, cabinets wouldn’t close, and granite had large, visible breaks. It was poorly stocked for 10 guests. Bathrooms were outdated, poorly lit, with no toiletries, and two towels per couple for four days. The master suite was slightly better, but still dated.The master carpet was old and uneven, creating trip hazards for our 87-year-old guest. Bedrooms had two hangers; when asked for more, a pile was left at the door. The library and music rooms lacked privacy and barn doors didn’t work. NO written directions for using the projector or other features were provided.The outdoor space was the highlight, with a nice pool, good furniture, and lighting. But most amenities advertised — basketball game, Skeeball, pool table, tetherball — were broken. The house furniture was in very poor condition.Despite multiple pre-stay discussions about the importance of this event, the owner never disclosed the property’s condition. When I raised concerns after, the owner first promised to “make things right,” but instead sent quotes for renovations scheduled months after our stay. The misrepresentation of the property left me embarrassed to host family and it dampened the celebration. I seriously question the integrity and ethics of the owner.

This is one angle of the busted granite. When using the sink, pieces would move around.

All the furniture was out date but worse was the condition. Scratched and torn. My 87 year old Mother spent an hour taking pictures before we began our stay because she was worried the owners integrity given the misrepresentation.

Many of the walls and doors were chipped or scratched. You could see where holes were repaired but not not painted so visually very dilapidated.

Perfect house for a weekend getaway with friends! Plenty of sleeping areas, big kitchen to cook in. The outdoor amenities definitely made the house fun for everyone! The hosts were also very quick to respond with any questions. Highly recommend.

The outside property is designed for large groups and get togethers however it is not allowed which is confusing. Parking is limited to really 5 vehicles and parking on the street is not allowed. Quiet time is 10 pm and is strictly enforced which again, given the outdoor area design is difficult to understand. We were here for our son's wedding at a local winery and originally thought we would invite people back to the house after the wedding to wind up the night but discovered that would not be an option. The owner, who lives on site is very accomidating within the rules and is also very friendly. Just a heads up for people that see the property and are thinking about using the outside area for more than 10 people.

Challenged Stay- Disappointed

Was excited to book the property for our family could stay together for my daughter's wedding in the area. Looked forward to enjoying the amenities and everyone having their own room.The yard, pool, outside areas and activities are in abundance! Everything is provided (let them know you need pool towels). A basic expectation of a rental to have hot water in primary bedroom and guest bathroom for majority bedrooms, overshadowed the enjoyment of the house. There was one shower stall with hot water on the other side of house. Coordinating 8 people to bathe was extremely frustrating and challenging.Contacted owner who had us check water heater and turned up temperature. Allowed for 2 warm shower (total) and then back to cold showers and facet water again.Communicated again the issue and we were asked, as the renters, to look at the water heater again to see if we could fix. Did not feel comfortable doing this. While dealing with stress and details of a wedding, we did not anticipate that not having any hot water in the main section of the house would even be a concern. This should have been assessed at first call. Received a thank you for stay and the response to water concern and our disappointment, the next message was an apology for the inconvenience and "hoped I would understand that things like this can occur at any time" as well as have done a quicker response to the issue. Yes, things like this can happen, but should not last 6 days. This was a special trip for us.

Daughters wedding

We had an enjoyable stay at the property, which was beautifully maintained. However, it's important to note that the owner resides in a separate house on the premises. While they are very friendly, their residence is in close proximity to the rental home. Additionally, the property has strict rules that must be adhered to, including maintaining quiet hours starting at 10 PM and limiting the number of cars in the driveway to eight. Unfortunately, our family incurred an additional charge of $350 for exceeding the car limit and having visitors on the property past 10 PM. Despite this, our stay for our daughter’s wedding weekend was overall a positive experience.

Fantastic Property for Families and Groups!

Our recent stay at Posada del Norte was absolutely incredible! All of the outdoor spaces were so beautiful and we enjoyed so many different activities each day that we never left the property! The views are truly gorgeous. The house was super comfortable and with a well stocked kitchen and awesome grill, we cooked all our meals there. Marino and his sons were super helpful and communicative. We can’t wait go back!

GREAT FAMILY VACATION

This is an incredible resort property so many things for a large group to do. Our family had wide range of ages from 8 months to seventy and everyone had a great time from the pool, many outdoor games, outdoor kitchen, sauna, jacuzzi so many wonderful things to have fun!! The owner is very responsive to anything needed as he lives in an house next door. Thanks Marino for everything

Wonderful Week

This place was all that it appears. We rented for a week to celebrate my husband's 50th. The pool was amazing and we made good use of all of the lovely outdoor dining areas. Many pool floats and excellent outdoor coolers are provided. Please take note that they do not provide wine glasses or enough plates/serving dishes for multi course meals. But, they had no problem with us bringing some in. Also, they charge extra for day visitors. But, it is such a reasonable nightly price that it balanced out to add the day guests. It was a fabulous stay and we hope to rent it again.

Perfect for our family

Our nephew was getting married at the Ethereal Gardens in Escondido. So, we needed a location that could fit our family of 10-14 and be close to the venue. It was so nice to come back to the house to relax after events. The backyard was absolutely stunning with plenty of activities for all (ping pong, foosball, basketball ball court, min golf, bbq, pizza oven, fire pits + more!). They were available to help with anything we needed (they live on property) and were hospitable and friendly. As listed in the description, be sure to bring your toiletries. They let us use their pool towels with advance request and even dropped off some plastic cups for us (although we found plenty of glasses in the cupboards as well). Thank you Kiani for showing us around and Marino for sharing your incredible house with us!

A private resort in the heart of the wine country

What a gem this house is. We spent four days in mid March for a 50th birthday party. There were so many different seating areas and fire pit areas in an area that was full of hammocks. We enjoyed the large gazebo with the fire pit in the middle and a large TV inside every night. The spa goes from cold to hot in about 15 minutes and was perfect for the cooler evenings. Everything was very picturesque. All the rooms were very nice. The hosts were very attentive and easily accessible. Most impressive as far as the house goes was the kitchen which was very well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, and pans all kind of serving dishes. And even lots of options for spices for cooking if you forgot some thing. We had no children with us, but this would be a very ideal place to bring kids, especially teenagers. They had so many games outside and full size, air, hockey table, and foosball table, and pool table, and basketball basketball and so much more. There’s a huge outside bar area as well. We’re already talking about organizing a family reunion in the summer when we could take advantage of the pool. There weren’t really any downsides to the property. I could mention a couple minor things like it would be nice if they had beach towels, and we did not have to bring our own. The inside table only fits six. It’s not really an option for seating more around a table, but there is extra seating at the Kitchen bar if needed. Also, the kitchen could use a rubber spatula :) we loved it

Amazing property

My husband and I were visiting from Texas and stayed here with our family. We got married at a Lutheran church not to far from the rental. Communication with the owners was great, and they are an awesome family. They have a wonderful rental home. The house and backyard are breathtaking. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I will most likely stay here again with friends so I have more time to enjoy all the games on the property.

Fabulous 40

Earlier this month my husband and I observed our 40th anniversary. Earlier this year we started looking at our options of how to celebrate. We both decided that we wanted to spend the time with our children and grand children. We found this property, a little slice of heaven in Fallbrook, CA. The amenities offered here were amazing, there were so many. With four grandchildren we needed more than just a pool or hot tub. We enjoyed every corner of this property. We would go back in a heartbeat. It was a great way to remember our 40 years together.

Contact with the manager of the property

I wished we could have met when we first came then we would have avoided a lot of anxiety of course I am to blame too. I e mailed in the morning to ask for the phone number to get in touch but did not check the reply because I was on my way already when we got to the property the WiFi was different then was given and so could not open my I pad a lot of frustration later I did get it. Otherwise everything went well and we really enjoyed our stay it had everything we wanted and needed . Thank you

Perfect

We used this property while in the area for our daughters wedding. The house was gorgeous and the backyard was an absolute dream. It was so tranquil with a breath taking view of the hills. This house has everything to have fun or just relax. The management really made sure we were comfortable and their communication was A++. Would stay again and again. Thanks for an awesome weekend!

Great hidden gem

Property is maintained by the son which was super helpful and attentive. Provided great restaurants for catering, batteries for last minute issues, you name it he quickly responded. Even came out to assist with rv parking. Great place. Really quiet neighborhood.

Family bonding time

We are fortunate that our family willingly spends precious vacation time to be together. We are retired, have three daughters and three son in laws, one granddaughter and grand son in law, and two great grandsons, almost 2 and 3 1/2 years old. What an incredible time we had!!! Plenty of pool toys were provided, and we did spend many hours around the pool and hot tub. It was unusually hot during our week. Played lots of outdoor games, especially the mini golf that the 3 1/2 year old excelled at! The outdoor areas are exceptional, beautifully landscaped with interesting and exotic desert plants. Beautiful mature sago palms everywhere. Views are stunning. Ate most of our meals at the picnic table area… perfect! Bonus points for abundance of silverware and dishes… we never ran out between dishwasher loads. All the bedrooms had super comfy beds, plenty of privacy. On the negative side… the home was probably built in the late 90s or early 2000, with an Italian/Tuscan theme. It’s absolutely beautiful! But, a little aged and in a bit of disrepair. The kitchen sink water dispenser flopped around, not secured to the sink. The tile at the back of the sink needs to be replaced, as it is chipping and rotting. Given how booked the property is, I can understand why these minor repairs aren’t dealt with immediately. Bottom line, we had an absolutely fantastic week, and I would heartily recommend booking this unique location if your family/friends enjoy time together.
