Great family gathering place with good location and fantastic views. Could use some maintenance work on entrance and deck. We had 13 people total with dogs and felt great with the whole situation. We’d do it again 9f the occasion arises.

This lovely home was the perfect choice for our three generation, fourteen person Thanksgiving getaway. We had so much room that no one ever got in anyone's way and there were plenty of spaces for alone time. But fantastic spots for gathering around the large dining room table with the great views. The kitchen was stocked with most of the tools/pots/pans that we needed. And, amazingly, Walmart delivers to your door way up on the mountain! I was most impressed that the water temperature was excellent and we never ran out of hot water! Highly recommend this property!

Everything was wonderful. Appreciate Pet Friendly. Appreciate in home recreations, games, fireplace, decks, hot tub, etc. Kitchen wonderful. Ice Machine GREAT FYI - (1) Ice Machine scoop missing .. but no problem. (2) Fridge had one door shelf that was broken (3) Could not find switch to deck lights (4) Front door did not lock with code (5) Maybe add crock pot (6) Recommend adding door or curtain to master bathroom on 1st floor. (7) as a civil/structural engineer I recommend you check and repair the damaged siding to prevent water intrusion and insect access.

Beautiful home! Very comfortable, with plenty of room for a large group, and a well stocked kitchen. There was an issue with the grill, and the host took care of it same-day (Kim from the Yonder maintenance staff ROCKS!) We would definitely stay there again.

A charming mountain retreat

We had fourteen family members in our group. The house easily accommodated us. The home is beautifully situated with magnificent views of the valley. Our final day we were blessed with a visit from a mother black bear and her two children. Magical.

The lodge at Edensderry is a great mountain home. Great for a large group of friends. Very comfortable Our only issue was communication with a maintenance employee who was not very helpful.

Family Retreat

Our three generational family had a wonderful stay. The house had large spaces for everyone to gather for meal prep and dinning, board games, watching TV, or just visiting. It also had other large spaces big enough for children to play or watch TV, and there were plenty of quiet spaces for adults, who had to work now and then. The location was close to other activities and the view from the deck was beautiful.

Wonderful Property!

There was ample room for our family of 15. The kitchen was very well stocked and made cooking for a large group easy. We had a small problem with the septic system and they were there to fix it the next morning. The location was perfect for everything Asheville has to offer!

Luxury price tag for average accommodation

We enjoyed our stay here and the spaciousness and layout of the house. However, the photos and description of the house set inaccurate expectations. The pictures must have been taken a while ago and the house, especially the back deck, is in need of some TLC. One indoor and one outdoor ceiling fan did not work at all. The garage refrigerator needs to be replaced and took 24 hours to work. The deck and its furnishings look very run down (think old furniture and dead potted plants) as does the basement TV area. The kitchen is well equipped and newly renovated. The wooded area behind the house needs pruning to enjoy the view. Considering the hefty rental cost, we were disappointed in the maintenance level. A little TLC and spending could make this into a stellar property.

Great location if visiting Biltmore estate

The property was comfortable and clean. It accommodated my family and I (21 total) well. The reason for my 4 star rating instead of 5 is because for the cost, we expected the property to be in better condition. There were a number of maintenance issues that are not simple to fix once 21 people are settled in from a long drive. We noticed the following items in need of repair/replacement. Gas fire place in living room, listed as not working when we booked and still not working. Gas grill outside, inside gas burners rusted completely. Partially working refrigerator ice maker. One door downstairs going to patio that we never were able to close, two on the main floor that took a lot work to get them to close. Two bathrooms had obvious signs of moisture damage on the ceilings. Sky lights in main living room had signs of water leak at some point. Damaged walls due to furniture contact. Various broken window screens. Shower head in master bath had excessive pressure. Damaged bathroom vanity countertop. The house and property overall is beautiful, roomy with lots of bathrooms and beds. It just needs a refresher and some minor repairs and maintenance to make it that much more special.

Great for a large group!

We had a great stay with 25 adults! The house provided plenty of space (sleeping, bathrooms and living space) for the large group to be comfortable the entire time. Parking is limited for such a large group, but the host was helpful in providing a separate location for additional spaces.

Wonderful family vacation

This place was perfect for us. There were 16 of us and there was more than enough room for all of us. We were close enough to anything we wanted to do. Hikes,Biltmore, golf. There was even a small fishing pond at the bottom of the hill the kids loved and could walk to. Only suggestion is to make sure you keep the garage door closed. The trash is kept in the garage and we are pretty sure it was a bear that helped himself to it and scattered it all up the hill. Great place and great vacation.

A great place to stay

We booked this house to facilitate an offsite leadership team building event and it was tremendous! The house was spacious, the patio was a real treat, and the amenities were great. Would happily stay here again and recommend it.
