Cabin was nice and clean. Felt cozy for two people. Kitchen had all the necessities and basic spices like salt and pepper. Bathroom was fully stocked with toilet paper and extra towels if needed. Be sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and soap as this is not provided. Wood stove is fantastic and gets HOT! Cabin really keeps the heat in, which was fantastic for the cool nights. We were lucky and saw (and heard) wildlife - see photo! We also had wonderful stargazing and we were able to see the Milky Way and wake up early enough to see the International Space Station bright in the sky! Highly recommend for relaxation and for getting away from civilization.

Tidy Home with Beautiful Views

Our stay could not have been easier. We needed a place close to family in FairPlay, so while the home is a bit off the beaten path, it was just what we wanted. The kitchen had everything we needed. The home was clean and there were more than enough towels, blankets, pillows, etc. We’d be happy to stay again.

Awesome house in the foothills

This is a great location about 10 mins from Fairplay. It's a nice house with plenty of room. It was clean and well appointed. Everything was in working order. We enjoyed views of the mountains from the deck and the quiet neighborhood. The well-stocked kitchen has both drip and Keurig coffee makers. The owners/property managers were responsive. On the last day, a big male moose hung out around the house for nearly 4 hours! We felt safe watching him from the deck and through the windows. It was an experience we will never forget! We highly recommend this property.

This cabin was perfect for a few days in the mountains. Close enough to town (FairPlay) but far enough out that you felt removed some. Would visit again, staying here.

Great Cabin！

Overall, we are extremely satisfied with this property. Its location is fantastic, with easy access even in snowy conditions. We love the stove, it comes with enough fire wood stocked for our entire stay! However, one improvement we suggest is the AC/heater, as its noise level is quite loud. We recommend bringing earbuds for anyone sensitive to sound while sleeping.

Scenic View

The view of the mountains from the deck was beautiful. The yellow Aspen all around was great. The cabin was nice and provided most of the things needed to stay there. The wrought iron table and chairs on the deck were a little cold to sit in since the weather was somewhat chilly. There were a few things that we were concerned about regarding safety. The ladder going up to the loft did not have any handles at the top in order to get off of it and onto the upper floor. The gravel in the driveway slide down onto the entry porch which made it somewhat slippery to carry things from the car to the door. There were a few sharp corners that could cause injury. like the sharp tile corner on the shelf at the end of the tub. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and the scenery was wonderful.

We had a great time exploring the Colorado area around the cabin and then coming back to the cabin and relaxing and being older (65+) enjoying just a relaxing day in between exploring days! Thank you!

Heaven in the mountains

The cabin was exactly as shown in the listing and better. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking 'accessories' - even a crock pot!! Very clean, beautiful view, quiet neighborhood. Easy to communicate with questions before and during.
