Chessetts Vacation

Our family had an excellent time relaxing and unwinding in and around this home. The views were incredible. The home fit our family of four adults & two children wonderfully. The kitchen was well-equipped and appliances were high end. Beds and pillows were very omfortable. Lots of wildlife to see! Check-in, check-out and communication with property managers worked well! Gorgeous home & outdoor space! Overall excellent experience! Thank you!

Beat the heat

Geat "home base" to doball your adventures from. We were able to hit up Breckenridge ' Bueno Vista, Leadville and numerous other areas for our week long adventures of rafting, zip lining, train rides and ATV trail riding.

Great cabin in a fantastic location

We had a fantastic time here, perfect location for snow. Plenty of room for our family and our friends. My only feedback would be to have an air fryer as cooking at altitude is much longer.

Colorado Family Vacation

The house and the views from the house were beautiful. The downstairs was a fun place to hang out and play games and have drinks/snacks. The deck was also nice to hang out on for evening drinks and morning coffee. The management company was great at responding quickly. It was an easy drive to Breckenridge and into the town of Fairplay.

Beautiful Mountain Home

Highly recommend this home for a beautiful mountain stay. We had 10 people in our group and everyone had their own space. The hot tub and sauna were a huge plus and the views from the hot tub at night cannot be duplicated. The property manager was easily accessible for a few questions we had during our stay. We will definitely be back to this amazing home. The gravel road to the home is about 4 miles with some parts being pretty rough but that isn’t the homeowners/property managers fault. Overall this is a beauty place with amazing views of wildlife.

Amazing Mountain Vacation

The listing for Chessett Lodge is very accurate; it's beautiful! We spent 9 days with our 5 adult children and 2 year old grandson. It allowed us enough space to all sit together and also allowed everyone a place to escape. The views are gorgeous, the house is well equipped. Word of warning, the house is at 11,000 feet; being flatlanders we were unaware of the many forms of elevation sickness.

Off the beaten path

Family Vacay 2022

Home was beautiful! We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed our time there. The only issue we had was the cleanliness of the home. For the price we paid I expected cleanliness to be a priority. There were issue with dirty bed sheets, scum in master showers and cob webs/dust throughout the house. I did speak with management to address the issue and will see what happens. I would recommend home but be sure to check and mention issues upon arrival.

Just rent it!!!!

The property was amazing. We had so many places to hang out just at the house. The hot tub was perfect after a day out. It was my birthday and they even left cakes for us. This place is a must, and it was like two vacations in one with the house and it being right up road from Breckinridge.

Even with no snow it was a wonderful time. We had issue with washer and they had someone out the same day and fixed it. We were all wishing we could stay longer.

Incredible Home & Location

Located just outside of Breckenridge, this home is exactly what it looks like. Remote and private, but not too far from the activities you want to partake in. Head to Breckenridge for a day taking in the shops and restaurants, or head to the small town of Fairplay for great trout fishing for the kids at the local lake. The home was clean, secluded in the trees, and a great place to have quality family time.

Great summer vacation spot

The property was exactly as advertised. Very nicely furnished and lots of space. We were pleasantly surprised by how well stocked the kitchen was. Had one little issue around bedding and the management company addressed it right away

Beautiful mountain cabin

We loved our stay here and the cabin met all of our expectations! Having 3 levels gave us so much space for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We enjoyed watching the chipmunks play all day long and we also saw a coyote and a bobcat! If you like to get away from it all and vacation in a remote location this is the perfect cabin for you!

Fantastic comfortable house, secluded and quiet

For our 2 families, this house was the perfect size for the 8 of us. The adults loved the spacious living area with views to South Park and the surrounding mountains. The kids enjoyed the pool table and seclusion of the game room with its separate bedroom, TV and bathroom. The kitchen had everything we could ever think of, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. With all of the drives and hikes in the area, we could have stayed for another week and still not done everything we wanted. For those daunted by a hike up one of the nearby 14-ers of the Mosquito range, there is the PIka Trail right in the neighborhood, or drive over to the adjacent valley and the Kite Lake trailhead, and then take the short hike to Lake Emma. Or head south and drive up the Fourmile Creek road and hike to the abandon mines. So much to do and see, you don't even need to drive into Breckenridge. This house was exactly what we needed to unwind. Major kudos for having the hot tub ready to use on our arrival. We’ve stayed at far too many rental homes where the hot tub either doesn’t work or requires the renter to get it fired up and running. Fair warning: the house is at 11,000 feet elevation and if you aren't acclimated, you will feel it. Altitude sickness can ruin the first couple of days, so plan ahead! Many, many thanks for making this beautiful house available to us for our getaway!!

Spacious & beautiful.

Cabin was perfect for our large group--roomy and comfortable. The large lot makes for privacy and great views, yet you can readily access nearby Fairplay or Alma. The host was very responsive to our questions. We'll book again.

Peaceful

This was a lovely place to stay. Bed was comfy and hot tub was a huge plus. Very secluded and quiet. We even saw a moose while out walking. Would be happy to return.

Lovely secluded mountain home

We loved this property! If you want a remote mountain home that has everything you need then I would highly recommend this place. If you’re planning on going to Breckenridge everyday, it’s about a 35-45 minute drive, but it was worth it imo. The hot tub, sauna and pool table were so much fun and we had no issues with them. We loved the cabin vibe with the new appliances and amenities this mountain home offered.

Fabulous Cabin

My husband and I stayed there for our vacation and we will definitely be back. The property and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The cabin was beautiful and it had everything we needed. We loved watching the sunrise on the second floor and in the evenings on the third floor balcony watching the sunset. Using the hot tub and the sauna was a much needed relaxation that this cabin also has to offer. I will tell everyone about this cabin and we can’t wait to go back. ❤️
