Remote and Beautiful
Thank you to Tanya for a great experience in her beautiful cabin in the mountains. My friends and I stayed for two nights in March 2024 and the property got at least 24" of snow. Tanya was very helpful in organizing a plow so that we could get out even on the worst day of the storm, but the winter mountain roads are as you expect, so we ended up spending nearly all our time in the cabin. The hot tub was excellent for being snowed in and we managed to make the most of our stay. I imagine the outdoor activities in summer or a normal winter would be amazing! Definitely had a good experience and appreciated Tanya as a host.

Awesome winter get away
The property was the perfect stay! The hosts were very communicative and beyond kind. The cabin had everything we needed and more to spoil us and our dog. Surrounded by perfect scenery. Far enough away to have peace and quiet under the stars, and close enough to spend a few days at the resort skiing. Would love to go back again and highly recommend

Made to feel at home
Lovely cabin and felf right at home. Location was wonderful, hot tub was amazing. The cabin needs some TLC, and could have been cleaner, but not bad. Communication could have been better at checkout. We messaged and left a voicemail for host needing help and we never heard back. Overall, a lovely stay.

Cabin by South Park Colorado
The cabin was great. It had everything one could need — especially for family fun. It was a nice surprise to find that the cabin was only minutes away from the town of South Park! We had a blast exploring the little town and the people are so friendly. The other plus was that it is only an hour away from Breckenridge and Copper Mountain, which is where we went skiing. Try Otto’s restaurant in the town. You will not be disappointed!

Girls Get-Away

Absolutely horrible- will never return here
This was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. A few hours before check in the owner notified us that the furnace was out, so the heat wouldn’t be working while we were there. She did leave a few space heaters, but this was not sufficient to keep the house warm at night with temps in the teens. The water in the downstairs bath and upstairs shower wouldn’t get above lukewarm, which made showering very uncomfortable. As soon as we walked in to the house it reeked of smoke, which seemed like a mix of cigarettes and old campfire soot. The smell was so bad that we had to wash our things when we got home because they smelled like smoke. Everything in the house was old, outdated, cluttered, dirty, and smelled. The first 3 things we pulled out of the kitchen were dirty and had to be washed before use. The kitchen appliances were old (microwave, 1987) and the dishes and cookware were in bad condition. The pans and baking sheets were blackened and gross. The bath and dish towels were gross, old, and smelled like smoke or mildew. The pillows were lumpy, and many of the blankets were old, smelled like smoke and mildew, and some had holes in them. I notified the owner within a couple hours of being there that we would be leaving first thing in the morning because of the condition of the house and asked for a refund. We would have left this evening if the drive home wasn’t so long. The owner eventually said she would reach out to VRBO about a refund, but has since not responded to me

Hello again Ariana, you did receive both the option to cancel and a full refund. The furnace and hot water system broke that day, leaving no heat, no hot water. I fully explained the situation that could not be resolved in time for your stay, before you arrived and you chose to stay the night anyway. I tried to make it at least comfortable. Did you enjoy the hot tub? Thanks for the year of the microwave. The cabin now has new furnace, new hot water heater and has hosted many happy guests over the past ten years. So you are right, time for some TLC and new cabin things. Thanks!

Great cabin seemingly hidden from the world!
This cabin is just like it seems in the listing. It's close to a small town, so you don't have to drive hours to get food or supplies, but if feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. Love it!

So much potential that really failed
We were so excited for a couple night stay during the amazing fall color change. The property was lovely, and the cabin has so much potential. BUT, we arrived to find an unkept cabin that needs a decluttering, a DEEP CLEAN, and A LOT of maintenance! It made us sad to see such a sweet property in disrepair and so dirty. Then to find it was infested with mice we were convinced we would not be back. We hope the owners will realize it is time to invest in major cleaning, repairs and new bedding, kitchen wares and pest control. We have enjoyed VRBO rentals for many years and this took the prize for failing our expectations. Such a bummer!

Overall place is good
The place is good. A little bit of TLC. Were happy quiet, we love the hot tub. There's one thing need to update is need a new mattress downstairs bedroom. Me and my husband kind a sink in the middle. But rather than that we enjoy the cabin . Thanks Tanya !

Needs a deep clean
Everything is as advertised but it needs to be cleaned really bad. There are mice behind the wood paneling above the kitchen sink. Beds could be comfier.. clean the place, move furniture and replace the pull out bed on the sofa. Won’t stay here again but will stay in the area

Hot tub paradise!
My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint cabin with an outdoor hot tub! The cabin is adorable and very roomy. The hot tub under the stars was amazing! We did have difficulty contacting the owner with questions during our one night stay. That was our only concern.

Disgusting
We booked this cabin expecting rustic BUT clean. As soon as we stepped into the cabin, it had a very strong, stale, cigarette smell. We immediately noticed everything was covered in a thick layer of dust. There was so much black thick dust on the ceiling fans, even to the point they looked like dreads hanging down. We then noticed ants in the kitchen all over the floor mingled with dust swept into corners. The table had food residue on it and although the sheets smelled clean, the beds had dog hair on the covers. The cabin was so disgusting. We immediately tried calling the host Tanya but it went to her voice-mail and then her phone voicemail box was full so we couldn't even leave a message. We then had to try to contact her thru VRBO messages. After several tries and no response from her, we just gave up and left and went to get a hotel room for the night. We just couldn't sleep in a filthy cabin withouy worry that something might be crawling on us. Tayna FINALLY contacted us hours later after we had made other housing arraingements and told us a cleaning service had come and done a sweep and it was considered guest ready. That cabin would have needed a extreme cleaning just not a sweep. By then, we had booked another rustic cabin nearby for the next two days and it was as advertised. So clean and cozy. Do Not stay at this cabin unless you are ok staying in a filthy atmosphere.

If you have read this review, please take into consideration that we did follow up, with staff asap to dust the fan and check on overall. Please note this is a beautiful full round log cabin nestled in, to enjoy nature, private on 3 acres and surrounded by beautiful pines and aspens, with a wood burning stove that welcomes your well behaved pets AND has a perfectly maintained hot tub on the deck. :) Great location with wonderful towns, trails and a creek nearby. Please do check out the description and the many other reviews to make your best choice. You will see that the cabin has been hosting wonderful and very happy guests for many many years and I hope you'll give the cabin a chance. I am sorry Ashley's experience and wish she would have given a chance. Please note she was able to take a full refund. Many blessings and Namaste

Nice cabin in secluded location but in need of deep clean
This is an overall nice cabin in a secluded location but is in dire need of an all over deep clean and replacement of worn linens, pans, dishes, towels, blankets, etc. I had to clean dishes before using them as many weren’t very clean. There are several things that need repair. Just overall dingy and dirty. We enjoyed the hot tub and wood stove which came with wood that was provided so that was nice. There are many places to hike from the cabin. My communication with owner was poor. It would be a great rental if the above referenced issues were addressed.

Beautiful and Secluded
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location is great because it’s very secluded but still close to lots of recreation and the quaint town of FairPlay. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub worked great and was clean. The only thing I would suggest is an extra good deep clean and declutter of the cabin. The host left great directions on how to use everything and I would recommend this cabin to others in the future.

Perfect for newlyweds
We got married June sixth in Loveland pass and came here the next day for a honeymoon. Cozy cabin secluded from everything and has a nice hot tub. It was recommended to enjoy the hot tub at night and star gaze and that’s exactly what we did! Thank you again!

Perfect Getaway from the city
This place is a perfect spot to get out of the city lights and under the starlight. I love the simplicity of this place. We enjoy the books, games, dvds, and wood stove at this cozy cabin. The price is perfect for a couple of social workers just trying to take respite. Absolutely appreciate how easy going the owner is and her ability to open up her home with the gifts the cabin provides. Always brings us joy heading here and we dream maybe one day owning our own cabin like this one.

Beautiful Honeymoon Getaway
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as we celebrated our honeymoon. We loved being tucked away in mountains but also having quick access to main highway as we went to check out local eateries/bars throughout our work. Our favorite part was stargazing w/ no light pollution around us and being in hot tub. The cabin felt so cozy, we took many naps! Great hosts. Thank y'all for allowing us into your home! Cozy cabin with good access to skiing
Thanks Tanya for the hospitality. This cabin is in a great location for access to resort and backcountry skiing. Cabin has everything you'll need for a weekend stay or longer (plus the key feature of a new hot tub!!!). Town of Fairplay is nearby which has all the necessities -- but thankfully, the owner provides most everything aside from food and drink. A few upgrades could be made, but that's just a nitpick. This was a great value.

Awesome location! Hot tub under the stars!!! Sledding there was amazing! Cabin was big enough for our group and the wood burning stove very cozy. Could have been cleaner, especially the downstairs bedroom. Cabin needs some TLC and newer linens, towels, and such. Overall a great experience.

Amazing!
We really enjoyed our time at Tanya's property. It was just a beautiful landscape and close enough to town to get things in a pinch. (Also highly recommend Otto's Food Truck in Alma - best chicken sandwich I've ever had.) Drink all of the tap water to acclimate - as a Houstonian I had no issues getting used to the altitude thanks to this tip. Make sure to get in the hot tub and star gaze. I had no clue why hot tubs in the winter elements was a thing, but do it! Thanks for everything Tanya! We just landed and are already planning a return trip.

The cabin is easy to find and pretty accessible, it has a full kitchen with most everything we needed to make some good meals and have good times. Very close to Breckenridge. We’re very happy with our choice and will definitely recommend for a family getaway

Secluded retreat in the mountains
The property was amazing! The cabin was perfectly located that you could still be close to things to do, but you felt totally alone. It was peaceful bliss! You felt like you were at home in the mountains. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed, you’ll be prepared for anything.
