I booked this stay last minute and everything perfect!This was our first stay at a Vrbo and I believe the hosts, Shane and Elise, went above and beyond! There were snacks, candy, water, coffee pods, and creamer at no extra charge. There was also shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower- I always bring my own but this time I only brought bar soap- my daughter was really happy there was body wash especially because it was antibacterial and she just spent the day sweating, playing volleyball. But what I noticed the most was that the bed linens and the towels smelled amazing. Now I love to do laundry(seriously) and am always trying new detergents, dryer sheets and scent beads but that fresh scent never seems to stay so I’m impressed!My daughter and I loved our stay with Shane and Elise at Fish River! Everything was excellent from knowing exactly where to park to enjoying the morning sunrise on the deck. Also the hosts responded quickly to messages and were very accommodating. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking in this area to definitely stay here!-Amy & Kennedy

Shane and Elise are fantastic hosts! Our stay in the Upper Room was ideal. Clean, comfortable, quite, peaceful, and and centrally located in Fairhope. We only stayed one night on this trip, an overnight stopover while traveling. We have occasion to make this trip periodically. The Upper Room will be our stop of choice in the future. Wonderful place, hosted by wonderful people!

As described and BEYOND our expectations. We will definitely be staying here in the future for family reunions. Shane and Elise were wonderful host. We were close to all of our activities for the weekend and enjoyed coming back to relax and the UPPER ROOM!

We had a wonderful stay at the apartment. This is such an amazing place to relax with awesome views. The apartment was very clean and the layout of the rooms are perfect. It fit great in our budget as well! Also the drive to the beach is not far at all. The owners are very friendly and did an amazing job with this cozy home away from home.

The stay here was amazing. It is clean, comfortable, and cozy. The water and snacks were very much appreciated. The hospitality of the owners is wonderful. My family and I were greeted as soon as we got there and they told us to let them know if we needed anything. All toiletries are provided and the beds are so comfortable. The decor is adorable and as soon as you walk through the door you can smell and see the cleanliness. Wonderful place to unwind and relax.

Better than expected

You really can't appreciate this rental until you stay. For the same price of a hotel room, you get all the amenities of a full home. No fighting over the bathroom. You can cook or grill your own meals. Relax in a tranquil location. And the hosts are so accommodating.

We really enjoyed our stay, and wish that we had had longer to enjoy it. The apartment is very roomy and is separate from the main house. It has a deck with a table and chairs to enjoy the sunrise over the river and another area to enjoy some shade!
