Poppy’s Cottage is a detached property set in the grounds of a large country house. Located down it’s own private lane and tucked away, this is a quiet, beautiful, hidden away escape, yet is within 15 mins drive of the centre of Exeter - Devon’s capitol city.

The well equipped cottage provides amongst its many comforts: underfloor heating, a woodburner, Egyptian cotton bed linen, Range cooker, fast WiFi, two smart TV’s (one in the twin room) for streaming Netflix etc. and access to wonderful walks from the front door. You will be welcome to enjoy some of the main house’s incredible gardens which in turn access public footpaths which lead into seven square miles of forests.

There is a fully enclosed private garden for your young children or four legged friend, along with a covered barn with table tennis and BBQ and outdoor tables and sun loungers. There is also a gym.

Accommodation includes One Master with En suite shower room. Two further bedrooms, one twin and and with king size bed, all good sizes. There is also a substantial marble tiled family bathroom upstairs with double ended bath and separate luxury power shower. There is an additional bathroom downstairs so three in total.

A wood burning stove with logs in the sitting room, a full kitchen with island and bar stools, separate dining room with underfloor heating, separate snug with desk area, and downstairs bathroom.

Poppy’s Cottage is newly renovated throughout and provides a warm welcoming space to relax in. We are delighted our guests so far have been so lovely about their stays and glad to see some returning. The house does offer a unique, secluded setting to unwind as a family, with total privacy and only the sounds of nature, along with access to the most stunning gardens. You are welcome to explore an additional 12 acres of our gardens and grounds with some unique plants and stunning floral displays.

We know all the local farm shops, supplying meat, fish, vegetables, takeaway foods (even locally made Middle Eastern meals which are our favourite) local game pies and even seafood, all delivered to the door. Waitrose and Tescos, Sainsbury's all deliver here. This is a cottage to enjoy long walks, sun bathing if the weather allows, games, films, table tennis, wonderful meals, bird watching and even badger and deer spotting. If you are very energetic then there is a private gym in which to escape though I can't image why anyone would do this!!
