Beautiful Nature Getaway

This is such a charming cabin. In a town that is nestled in the midst of the cascades. The river rushing by right outside makes for a lovely dining ambiance if you crack a window open in the sunroom. And the view from the hot tub is just beautiful. Was a little bummed we weren't able to see the strawberry moon, was a little too cloudy and tucked behind a mountain. But with how beautiful the rest of the town and cabin was we didn't feel that bad about missing it. I 100% would recommend this place to anyone who is looking at Index and trying to decide where to stay. The host is great to deal with, very timely with his responses and even gives you tailored driving instructions depending on the rout you are coming from. David, thanks for sharing A Cabin On The Sky as a vacation house.

Amazing Location, Cozy Cabin

We absolutely love coming to this cabin. The views are simply stunning! The sound of the river is so peaceful and relaxing and has an added bonus of drowning out any snoring sounds! The bed is so comfortable that I checked the brand to see if I could get one like it.There are very pleasant hikes nearby which we also enjoyed. Even just walking down the road provides a beautiful view.The Cabin has many extras that make for a very enjoyable stay: extra blankets, games, spices, shampoo and conditioner, etc. After our third stay, we feel more like we are coming to a relative’s house for a visit than renting a VRBO. Thank you, David!

Fourth stay at this wonderful home. The setting is picture perfect in a sweet little village with a rich history. The owners have deep roots in the community and love this home and nature. They are responsive, and not mere investors.

The Mighty Sky

The cabin was right on the river and the rushing sound of the Skykomish River lulled us to sleep at night. The surrounding mountains were spectacular and awe inspiring.The cabin was cozy and furnished with some wonderful vintage pieces of furniture. Overall, this place was very well maintained and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay.It's a great place to go if you want to destress to a quiet, relaxing part of the PNW.

Heaven on the Sky.

A truly beautiful place to be. The only problem being, which bedroom to use. The charming upstairs bedroom with a king bed and view over Index Mountain or the smaller downstairs bedroom where you feel as if you‘re sleeping on the river. What a problem to have. We wished we could stay forever.

Comfortable cabin in quiet neighborhood

The cabin was great, plenty of space inside, beautiful view, and located in a quiet neighborhood. Everything was clean and worked as it should. Just not as much privacy as we were expecting as its located in the center of town.

Beauty of Nature

This is literally located right next to the river. Listening to the roar of the river at night reminded me of camping next to the river as a kid. Remote area surrounded by mountains. We stayed while it was chilly so there was a lot of fog surrounding the mountain tops. Close to a couple easy hiking trails. If you like nature be sure to visit here. This is a great escape from the big city.
