"Best rental house on the Smith River! This was our 3rd or 4th time here and it's still our favorite rental house ever. Fully stocked with every possible thing you might need. The hosts are great and very helpful and the location is unique in that is has the best access of any rental house on the Smith River. Even my barely mobile 84 year-old mother-in-law could get down to the beach to watch us kayak and swim. My only tiny complaint is that the knives in the kitchen were almost too dull to use,...

"The space was clean and served our needs. "Steps to the Pacific Ocean" is rather misleading. It's at least a three-block walk and the beach looks nothing like it does in the featured photo. The building is on an ugly street corner near a freeway overpass, with a significant number of people wandering around who seem to be on drugs. Passed more than one sketchy RV on the way to the beach. I didn't feel entirely safe walking around after dark with my kids. "
