The place was bigger than we expected, very well stocked. Loved the patio space and spent most of our time outside. Kids loved the loft and found it fun! Our kids are 5-12 years old.

Great Weekend getaway

Perfect for my husband & I for a quick weekend getaway! Ideal amount of space for a couple and within easy walking distance to food & activities. The stairs are somewhat steep (just a heads up) but did not bother us! In-unit laundry was very convenient. Would stay again!

Good spot for small family

We wanted to enjoy a weekend in Carlton Landing and all it has to offer without overspending for a two-night lake getaway. This guest house was small, but just right for what we needed. There’s no oven/stove unit but they have an electric stove top appliance that allowed us to cook breakfast on. Short walk to the pool, food trucks, beach and other spots. The ladder was steep (as expected), but our 4 and 8 year old boys did okay with it.

Great place for a getaway!

Very small but great place. Would have been nice to have sat outside but the patio and yard were unsuitable. Wasn’t really sure where to park and just crossed our fingers as to where since there wasn’t access to the garage area.

Cute but dirty

Property was perfect for a couple, but we had four people and the ladder to the loft is scary! We found the property to be dirty and in need of maintenance. Community is neat, but we expected more out of the rental for over 300$ a night!

Perfectly cozy

Weekend getaway with my wife was great in this cozy loft. Got a little confused though when we didn’t see an oven or stovetop. But a little bit of investigation solved the problem! 😉 We will be back.

Do not stay here!!!

Worst experience I’ve ever had! I had the wrong house and had no clue. I called because my door code wouldn’t work. Instead of the manager meeting me she gave me another code to use which worked. After unpacking our stuff I realized there was a lot of things that didn’t seem right. No fire pit, no grill, no cooking utensils so I call back. She then asks me to send her a picture. I do and she goes on to tell me I have the wrong house. We had a lot of stuff because we had planned on cooking the entire time we would be there to make things more cost effective. I had to move everything up a very steep flight of stairs ALONE because my mom is elderly and my children are small. She offered to let us stay in the wrong house but we’d be left without any cooking utensils, a community fire pit and community grill which wasn’t specified in the add. I asked if we could move the next day and she said the renters won’t rent for a single day. It has to be two days or more. I ended up moving us to the original house we rented but it was awful! I spent our entire first day moving our stuff. The kids were starving and my 67 year old moms back was hurting from the steep stairs. I’ve stayed at a lot of cabins and always return. I always give credit where credit is due with great reviews but we will not be suggesting this place to anyone.

Relaxing and beautiful

This place is like you stepped back into the 80s everyone waves, windows open doors unlocked, and so friendly. Relaxed out on the deck watched the kids play and the sound of the boats on the water. Was definitely a great weekend. Make sure u rent a golf cart, was so fun to sightsee on there!

Rough start, fantastic finish

We arrived at the property in this listing, but the door code didn't work. However, even on a Saturday we were quickly in contact with the Carlton Landing rental office. They gave us an alternate code and we got in. However, once inside, we noticed that the cleaning crew had clearly not serviced this unit yet. We checked in about 10 minutes after the listed "check in" time. Again we were quickly in contact with the rental office, and within 5 minutes they directed us to a different unit that had been serviced. Once there we were treated to a LIKE NEW loft!! It was light, airy, and cozy! Our 14-year-old got a kick out of climbing the ladder to get to her sleeping loft. It was a fantastic place for a weekend getaway! Thanks to the rental office for being SO flexible and accommodating! We'll be back!

Yet to be reimbursed

We were unable to get in to the property on the first night, due to the wrong email sent to us with the incorrect code to get in. We had to get a hotel room for the night. The manager called the next morning and explained that the email that was send to us was incorrect. We were sent an email telling us to download the hospitality app. When I did so, it told me all the instructions to get inside. The code they gave us was 0316. She told me they use the last 4 of phone number. She told me she would bring by some gift certificates, which we never received along with being reimbursed for the first night.
