Carlton Landing! Beautiful home with screened porch and outdoor fireplace!

  • Welcome to Andover Cottage - 41 Boardwalk

    Indoor and outdoor gas fireplace. Spacious. Conveniently located 2 doors down from the community pool/grills and just a block from the lake.

    The first floor has a beautiful open floor plan perfect for gathering, dining, and relaxing with an attached downstairs master with a king bed and adjoining bath. The kitchen has a large marble countertop and bar stool seating for entertainment. The dining area is well suited for an elaborate meal or a family game night and is watched over by its very own Betsy Cow canvas. The living area has two couches and a love seat to fit the whole family around the fireplace and television area.

    Upstairs you will find two guest bedrooms each equipped with a queen bed. Bring the kids - as the "bunk" room is the 4th bedroom and has 6 twins and its own television in a large room that opens up to the main staircase. You will find an additional bathroom upstairs equipped with a shower. The front porch sits right on the boardwalk has a cozy swinging bench and is steps away from the community swimming pool and hot tub area. The back porch is fully screened in and has a fireplace and television. A great place to sit outside in the evenings. This property has a propane grill for guests to use.

    Andover Cottage has 2 guest parking spaces. All additional vehicles can be parked in the parking lot behind The Meeting House, located on Boulevard.

    Golf carts parked at the property are owners use only.
    If you would like to rent a Golf cart, please reserve your cart online through Carts of Carlton at or contact Dr. Doos at.

    All of our vacation rental homes at LakeStay are equipped with bed linens, bath towels, a starter supply of amenities, and a washer/dryer unit for your stay. Guests will have access to our community amenities: pool, hot tub, grills, inflatable water park, and seasonal kayaks-paddle board rentals. Great family vacation!

We had a great time! The house was perfect and just the right size for our family. The kids loved the bunk room and the Harry Potter room under the stairs! We love sitting out on the porches, drinking our coffee in the mornings. And it was a perfect location to go to the pools and other amenities.

Wonderful, but needed more supplies

We had the best time and loved this house! The layout was perfect for our girls’ trip. It would have been nice to have been provided a regular coffee pot, additional dish towels, and a multipurpose cleaner that we could use on the countertops. The lack of those items was frustrating. But overall, a wonderful trip!

Second Summer at Andover Cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 3 moms + 7 daughters stayed for the second year in a row at Andover Cottage. The size of the house is just perfect for our crew. We love the location! So close to the pool, Momma Tig's pizza, The Pantry, the lake etc. 3 spots for parking which is perfect for us. Love the enclosed back patio. Our girls love to ride their scooters up and down the boardwalk in front of the house. We hope to go back again next summer! 10/10 would recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time staying in CL and while the weather didn't cooperate we loved staying in this house. It was perfect for our two families. The only thing I would change is maybe adding a mattress topper to the upstairs two queen beds. The beds are pretty hard and would be a lot more comfortable with a little more fluff!

I had heard about Carlton Landing googled it and thought it looked charming. It was better than I expected and we loved our rental. It was the perfect location. Having small children the boardwalk that was in front of our rental was perfect. We never had to worry about cars. They rode their scooters and bikes free of worry. We absolutely plan to visit again. The backyard was under construction so it would have been nice for that to be finished before our stay. The property was not very clean. Several stains on the bedding and the floors were really dirty. It also was not stocked for the number of people it says can stay. We had eight people and there were not even enough coffee cups for us to all have coffee at the same time.

Reviewer Comments: The property itself was beautiful, and we loved the location. Everyone staying/living there were very friendly and the community pool was only a few minutes away from the home. However, when a person spends almost $500 a night, you have high expectations on property management response to issues. The house is in need of a deep clean. On the surface everything is fine, but the floor, drawers and outside pillows/cushions on the front porch need replaced or washed because there are stains/dirt, so it’s dingy looking. My niece pulled her bed down on the first night and there were crumbs all in it, so we were left assuming sheets had not been washed. That first night when we went to use the master shower, the shower head was floppy like it had been broken...I made a maintenance request 2 days in a row with no response and calls went straight to voicemail... We had brought in a whole bunch of food to cook, but the oven didn’t work the next morning when we got up to make breakfast and we only had one burner to use. I made multiple inquiries on this and it never got resolved—totally ignored. By the third day I asked the office assistant to have the director of Carlton Properties call me because I read older reviews and the oven had been out for many months. Also want to mention that we brought our own pots/pans, but it is worth saying that the ones the property have left for their guests are the most filthiest, grossest looking items I’ve ever seen. I’m serious—bring your own because I read reviews from years ago and they’ve been there for years (I wished I had read reviews before I chose this home.) We also could not use the grill cause it didn’t work. Again it hasn’t worked for months. Finally on the third day we heard a knock on the door and three men said they were there for a plumbing issue. We had just arrived home and no one had told us anyone was coming. It was VERY uncomfortable bec

annual family lake trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family normally vacations at Lake travis every summer. We enjoy the lake, the pool and golf. With the COVID19 changes, our normal place was not an option. Carlton landing provided everything we needed. We were there during the week (M-F). It is really empty. Nothing was open. We tried to rent paddleboards but never got a call back from the company. The beach needs some repairs but was nice. The pools were great- but all play pools- no deep end. My biggest gripe is that we had some problems with the rental (oven didn't work and WiFi was out). We arrived at 4 on Monday and didn't realize that there were problems until after 5. We were supposed to have 24 hour maintenance but couldn't get anyone on the phone or via email. They were great about getting our WiFi going on Tuesday around dinner time but the stove never worked properly. The home is beautiful and comfortable. The location is perfect with easy access to the beach and pools. The bunk room doesn't have a door. The 4yo and 6yo didn't care but the 11yo and 9yo would have preferred to have a door. Overall, I would go again but would definitely go on the weekend to be able to experience the food trucks and other amenities.

Very dirty unit

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 4th stay in CL and we've loved it each time. In fact we brought additional family members along to enjoy the experience. When I walked in the home was beautiful and everyone ooed and awed at the layout. When I went to open the fridge I noticed it was not clean and had multiple stains, however it was empty so I didnt think much of it. Throughout the course of the evening we found old baked in trash in the trash compartment, multiple spiders and creepy crawlies throughout the home including one in the bed, extremely dirty rugs in the living room kitchen and bath, many loose hairs in the drawers, and sticky and stained counter top. Its no wonder this unit was the last to be rented on the entire property.

Perfect getaway

Perfect home for a family getaway! Loved the boardwalk atmosphere. The people of Carlton Landing are so nice and give you a sense of belonging from the very beginning. The kids had an amazing time and didn’t want to leave. Definitely a place to disconnect from the hustle of city life.

It was very relaxing. I wish the weather would’ve been better so we could’ve enjoyed the outdoor spaces more. There were so many relaxing outdoor spaces, such as the front porch swing, the enclosed patio with egg chair, and the hammocks and fire pit out back. Would highly recommend Andover Cottage!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We couldn't have been happier with this beautiful home! It comfortably accommodated our family of 6 adults and 4 kids. The location was INCREDIBLE. We had some issues finding it because we were unaware that the app we were using was not only out of date with incorrect information, but no longer used/recommended. The bunk room didn't have a door and there wasn't a bathtub (only showers) which surprised us, but we managed just fine. Both were only worrisome at first because our kids are ages 2-5, but we made it work no problem. Otherwise, it was an absolute DREAM. We are so grateful for this experience!

For the amount of money I paid, it would’ve been nice to be able to enjoy it for more time. We loved the house and the community. The girls had a great time exploring. The church service Sunday was nice to be able to take advantage for a few of us, while others cleaned up and packed cars. We would love to come back but will definitely ask for late check out and early check in if no one has rented the property the day before.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our few days at Carlton Landing. The house was AMAZING and had everything we could ever want or dream of. It was clean, had top of the line appliances, and was ample room for my family of five to stay in. We enjoyed exploring the area, utilizing the lake toys, and the pool. There were not many downfalls and none of it would detour us from going back but there was a lot of construction in the area as they are building a lot of homes in the area. During the weekdays the pro would be that not many people were around so it wasnt very crowded but the other aspect is, they have less going on during the weekdays such as food carts, activities, etc. We were told that the lake beach would be complete but it wasnt. Not a big deal, but I imagine when that is complete it will be even more amazing! Thank you for a great weekend of R&R. It was exactly what we needed! I would like to ask the owners where they got their furniture ;) So cute!
