"It was a delight to stay in the Shoe which I saw for so many years on the way to visit my extended family in Reading, PA from Baltimore. Enjoyed the design of the shoe house and there was something quaint about the rooms that made them comforting. The hot tub and fire pit were nice additions. The host was very responsive. "This was my second time at this cottage and hope to stay again. It rained the whole time! But, with such a cozy place to read and relax, listen to the rain and enjoy the ambiance it was lovely. I walked for a nice dinner at the Hideaway. I walked to Mt Gretna Mercantile for a few treats and always enjoy chatting with the sweet owners. I had an incredible lunch at Porch and Pantry. All without getting in my car. I highly recommend!"

"Much older home with 2 bathrooms ,one on second floor and one on third floor . There was an awful smell coming from the tub on 3rd, floor. My son being a plumber said it was not vented properly. Bedrooms were all upstairs 2nd and 3rd floor, very comfortable beds and clean, Stairs were narrow and hard to climb for the older ones staying, especially just to go to bathroom. Only 1 parking space for property so any extra vehicles had to park elsewhere away from the house, We had to be dropped off...

"Perfect stay for our scout troop weekend at Hersheypark. The house was clean and comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed and plenty of space for our group. It was a safe quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes from the park. As others have mentioned, the stairs are steep and the downstairs much colder than upstairs but overall it was exactly what we needed, would stay here again."

"The staff here was very friendly and pleasant. Check in and check out was very quick and easy. The room was very affordable and get a great value for the price. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I struggle with back and neck pain so this was an important factor for me. We choose this location because of how close it was to Pennstate Hershey medical center it's like a 5 minute drive. The room was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. I liked they had a full bathtub there so I was able to take a bath. I would recommend this place whether it's a couples or family getaway. Hershey park is not too far from this property "
