Close to the Stanley but feels remote
Slight kerfuffle at check-in quickly rectified by Steve who is very responsive and helpful. Feels like a small group of cabins in the woods but very close to everything in Estes Park. Came for Frozen Dead Guy Days and had a wonderful time. The property is well maintained, nice kitchen, great beds, the garage is convenient. Would stay again. Having a property manager that cares is almost as important as the amenities and location. All top notch.

Great place!
We had a great time staying here. The location is close to downtown Estes Park. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. We saw elk in the backyard one day! Would recommend staying here.

Family Getaway
This was a beautiful property within walking distance of Estes Park and the Gem Lake Trail. It's a beautiful property with great amenities. The property management team was very attentive to resolving any small issues we encountered. We certainly hope to be back soon!

Great place and location

A wonderful RMNP get away
Everything worked out really well for us. Kitchen island was a bit tall for us but it was fine to use. Very nice to have a garage but it was difficult to back out of. Overall I would gladly stay there again. Thanks Steve.

Sweet cozy cabin
The cabin itself is well maintained and made with beautiful high quality materials throughout. Perfect for our group of 2 married couples (basically 2 master bedrooms that differed slightly) and 2 brothers (got the downstairs bunks). Lots of very nice bedding materials for everyone. Kitchen was fully stocked and we never had a shortage of dishes etc with our group of 6. Loved being able to watch Netflix in the evening in the main living area. Great location for Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park. Two minor complaints: We LOVE ceiling fans, BUT the ceiling fan in the bigger master bedroom was unusable due to a very loud scraping sound (not the usual small annoying sound these fans can sometimes make.) It was cool enough in the evenings without it so we didn't call about it, but when we checked out we turned off all the lights, ect, but left this fan on so hopefully they would notice how bad it is and fix it. The only other negative was that the blender would not work at all. We were so excited to find the blender and tried to make milkshakes. BUT after we added all the ingredients to it we discovered that it would not turn on. We tried different outlets etc, but never got it to work. We called to see if they could bring us a different blender but couldn't get a hold of anyone around 10:00 pm. (I admit it was late in the evening to call but since it was our last night and all the ingredients were already in a broken blender and we couldn't take them out and put them back I gave it a shot.) Overall we were all very happy we stayed there.

We had a great week at this convenient location.
The house had plenty of room for our family of six and the location is excellent - super convenient to both RMNP and downtown Estes Park. The work area of the kitchen is a good size and it had plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen tools. The reason we gave a 3 for cleanliness is due to the kitchen. Linens were fresh and bathrooms were in good shape on our arrival but the kitchen counters and stove needed some attention.

We strive to keep our home clean and sanitary. I am not sure what you are referring to. We use anti-viral and anti bacterial cleaners on all hight touch areas. They may leave streaks as they are not like something like windex, (made for a streak free appearance.)

Hot time in the ole town
Nice place, parking was a little hairy. Due to the hot weather air conditioning would have been nice. Over all very nice, clean place.

The vast majority of homes in Estes Park do not have AC. Even on warm days the cool nights keep things comfortable. There is a two car garage and parking spaces on a first come first served basis for guests to use.

Convenient and quiet yet centrally located
The property is conveniently located on the edge of Estes Park and easily within walking distance of the downtown area. We enjoyed our 5-minute walk to the Stanley Hotel for morning coffee. While we were vacationing, it was probably one of the hottest weekends with an average of 85 to 90 degrees and no air conditioning. No worries, however, since the evenings cooled off to 55 degrees and if the windows were left open overnight and then closed during the daytime it stayed relatively cool. The balconies were a welcome place to enjoy the view of Estes Park. The parking is a bit odd but we had two mid-sized cars that adequately fit inside the garage. The kitchen was extremely clean and we appreciated the variety of utensils and pots and pans. Because we were on vacation we did not use the TV very much. A grocery store is handily down the road as well as a hardware store. All in all, it was a perfect place for two couples to relax and have a terrific vacation.

Nice place but that's it
The home is beautiful. However when I booked and saw the pictures I thought we would have enough beds. The sofa sleepers are pitiful and the picture that shows a day bed and a sofa sleeper is not true. NO day bed. One of the neighbors must have had a wedding party and it was NOISY and horrible. Late at night till 1230 to 1 am and we heard it all!! And then the garage does NOT fight a pick up truck at all!! We had 3 vehicles and we could get one all the in and still couldn't shut the garage door. The other vehicle had to be 1/2 in and 1/2 out of the garage. We obeyed the parking rules but others parked all over and made getting in and out very difficult. The home is beautiful and well kept. It was ok for the long weekend. But I will plan ahead better and book a cabin that is quiet again first!!

I had updated the photos on VRBO and did not realize they were not updated on Homeaway at the same time. The town made us remove the daybed. In the future if there are noise issue you can call the property manager to help rectify the situation. The town does have noise ordinances in place. Sorry for any confusion.

I'm sorry you were disappointed, unfortunately there are virtually no homes in Estes Park that have ac. The home is advertised with no ac. A new 55 inch television has been installed in the living room

Mike thanks for staying. There is a two car garage in addition to the shared spaces which are first come first served. It can be crowded in the summer months.

Great property - as expected.
We had a great stay at this condo. There is a lot of space and everything was as expected. The house was very clean and had everything that we needed. We had a small problem with the iron and Steve delivered a new one without being asked to do so. I would for sure stay here again!

Very nice home with plenty of room and beautiful views
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 adult children. There was plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms. The home is very nicely decorated and clean. The location to downtown shopping is great - just a 5 min drive. We especially loved sitting out on the balconies. The view of the mountains from the upper balcony was beautiful. We all had a great time!

It could be a nice stay...
Location is good, close to supermarket. House is clean, and has good floor plan. I gave it three stars based on: 1. Owner is not flexible. We asked if it is ok to give us extra 30 min for packing, he said he can't. 2. TV is analog TV, with several shopping channels. No news channel, no sports channel. We had to sit in a tight circle in front IPad to watch NFL. 3. When signing the contract, $750 was charged for safety deposit, but only $500 returned, even the owner said no any damage. 4. Downstairs room is not heated enough, if you want that room to be warm, the rest of the house you feel grilling.

I am so sorry you were not satisfied with your stay. Regarding late check out we cannot always accommodate last minute check-outs due to cleaning schedules and possible guest check ins. I checked you invoice and you were not charged 750 for a damage deposit. You were charged 500 which was returned to you. The heating system is in working order. I am sorry you could not get it to function to your liking. I wish you would have contacted the property manager while you were experiencing the problem so a technician could have diagnosed what the issue was while you were experiencing it. We hope you give us another chance in the future.

Great home
Our family had a great trip to Estes Park. This rental was very comfortable and had anything you may need. We did miss out on baseball playoffs, otherwise 5 stars.

Wonderful property!
My family had a great stay! The house was spacious and clean, exactly as described. The two porches had great mountain views perfect for drinking coffee in the morning and relaxing during the day. The house is close enough to downtown and shopping to make it very convenient, while being far enough away to make everything quiet and peaceful. Overall great experience! We will be back.

loved the setting of the property. The home was lovely, clean well maintained and decorated.
Enjoyed staying in the home. Very comfortable,, everything we needed was supplied. Spacious bedrooms and sitting areas. The main living room was a bit small but overall great experience. Would definitely stay again if chance arises. We all loved sitting on the balconies and look at the spectacular views of the mountains. Easy walk and/or drive to town and to the National Park for hiking. House was well maintained and very clean. Glad we found it!

35th Anniversary Estes Park Trip
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Black Canyon home. It's close to the grocery store & coffee shop, and convenient to Rocky Mtn National park & other scenic areas. The kitchen, bathrooms & sleeping areas are perfect for sharing with 3 families. We only had 6 people, so we had ample room. It was clean & well supplied. It felt like our home away from home!

Perfect property for a Estes Park reunion trip
We stayed in this beautiful Black Canyon home in mid June 2016, as our family gathered in Estes Park for a family reunion. It is a lovely home with ample space to accommodate more than one family. It is beautifully decorated with upscale furnishings. The kitchen had ample space, more than adequate furnishings and was even stocked well with some cooking essentials, such as spices, coffee filters, paper products and more. Granite countertops finished off the beautiful space in this lovely kitchen. Seating for 9 people to dine, plus a breakfast dining set on the deck. There are actually three different social areas in this home, which made space for both our teens and our toddlers. The main living area was a bit small with limited seating, but it was open to the kitchen, so the space was certainly adequate. Although we did not use the televisions on this getaway, there was a television in practically every room. The beds were very comfortable. Entire home was clean and well-maintained. The home is located at the back of the complex and was very quiet, with a beautiful view of the mountains from the deck. The deck had multiple chairs and a very nice gas grill, which we did utilize. The management company representative (Steve) was very easy to work with and quickly responded to any questions that we had, even after we were at the property. The home is located very close to the large Safeway store and the downtown area. Many of the group that we were with stayed at the YMCA camp and it was just a 10-15 minute drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Estes Park and highly recommend this property.
