Overall, this place isn’t bad; the best thing about it is it’s location, walkable to everything in downtown Estes Park.
The house has a rustic cabin feel which is appropriate and just what we were looking for, there was an ice maker, which was a nice plus, the bedding was clean and smelled fresh.
There were some things we didn’t like which might be fine for other people. The biggest issue was a mouse in the house. Steve was great to bring sticky traps out first night, but this mouse was too smart. I understand mice happen, but the darn thing kept me up at night scurrying around.
While the house in in decent shape, it could use some love. The stick-on tile by the entrance is coming up and we tripped on it several times. The shrubs need to be trimmed, we had to move them aside to get past them to enter the unit, there is some trash/junk on the porch and around the property. The outside furniture was too dirty to sit on which was a bummer because the views were gorgeous.
Lastly, the checkout instructions were a lot of work compared to other places we’ve stayed out. We wish I would have known we’d be expected to remove linens, wash the towels, do the dishes and put them all away before reserving.
