Thanks for your visit. To future guests, just want to make sure everyone's expectations are met: this rental is in a community of townhomes on the bank of a river. It is not remote and we are clear about that in the listing. If you seek complete solitude, you'll need to search 20 minutes outside of Estes.

Thanks for your feedback. We believe it's very important to accurately represent our location and amenities. As stated in our listing, the house is close to but not directly on the river. Several of our photos show the view from the deck and various windows inside the house. Being higher up means that we have great views of both the river AND the mountains!

We appreciate this feedback and will clarify for future guests. For years our community has had an agreement with that landowner to allow us to cross the property into the park and we were unaware that had changed. We've now updated our welcome booklet to route visitors along the other side of the river. Guests can still easily walk to the park from our home. It's been a record-hot summer across Colorado, and the suggestion about ceiling fans is a good one. We'll look into this for next year. Like almost all mountain homes, ours does not have air conditioning. If this guest had let us know they were uncomfortable, we would have been happy to bring up extra fans. It's important to follow the suggestions in our welcome booklet for keeping the house cool in the day and taking advantage of our wonderful nighttime temps in the low 50s. As stated in our listing, our home is 1 of 25 houses in the community, and we do have neighbors on either side of us. Photos 7, 15, 16, & 17 show the access roads to the house and the closest neighbor homes. We believe our listing is accurate and honest, and we regret this guest had expectations that were not aligned with our listing. We strive hard for 100% guest satisfaction and are always willing to help out when guests let us know there is an issue.
