About 15-20 minutes away is Puerto Banus where the rich and famous hang out and drive alongside the marina with their Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Why not have a cocktail at the marina and watch the world go by? Estepona, Marbella and Sotogrande all have local markets where you can pick up some great bargains. The market in Estepona on Wednesday morning has some very good fruit and vegetables along with the usual market goods. Gibraltar is only 1/2 hour drive away (take your passports).
