"Codax retreat was a fantastic home for our family of 14 people (ages 2-60). We did have to get creative with sleeping situations with kids as some of the sleeping areas are in the loft which is very open. We comfortably slept 8 adults in beds and 2 kids in the bunk beds. The other four kids slept on kid air mattresses (not provided). The 2.5 bathrooms were great to have. The open space was great and the garage - the kids LOVED. "The house was beautiful, spacious, and perfect for hosting a weekend getaway! We were there for a bachelorette party with seven people, and we loved the location, the views, and the amenities. The host was super responsive and great at communicating. Would definitely recommend for a future visit!"

"Great place for a family getaway. Beautiful quiet setting with a spacious well maintained exceptionally clean house on the Chippewa River. There are plenty of sleeping places and bathrooms. "We had a marvelous 3 night stay at the lake. Grill and kitchen were great for cooking. The lake is quiet and calm- very relaxing. The screened room was so nice to beat the afternoon sun and mosquitoes in the evening. Things to know: The area around the dock is not good for swimming. The stairs are steep and narrow. "

"The landscaping, outdoor spaces, and location on the river are exquisite. The kitchen is well equipped with anything needed to cook a simple meal or a holiday dinner. The home is tastefully furnished and comfortable. My favorite room is the sunroom from which I enjoyed views of the garden, river and sunsets. Communication with the owners was easy. It is clear they care about the property and want their renters to have an enjoyable experience. "

"Stayed with my parents, siblings and their families. Plenty of room and beds for everyone. Kitchen was stocked with very nice pots, pans, and food storage. Having two fridges was great! The lofted space with the bonus room with beds was awesome for the kids to have their own hangout space. Access to the water was perfect and so close the beach and park worked out so well! We would definitely book again!!"
