"The Brown Hotel is a beautiful, old southern hotel. Due to its age, I am sure it will receive some poor reviews. And to be sure some updating could be done. Our mattress while still comfortable was obviously old. But this is a great experience because of the historic nature and beauty of the space, stay here if you get a chance and spend some time in the lobby and get transported back in time to how hotels used to be."

"I took a solo trip for myself this past weekend & booked a room at the Bellwether. I’ll start off by saying I couldn’t have been more pleased with my stay. The hotel is beautiful! Clean lobby and clean & spacious room! The bed was firm but inviting. I slept like a baby. The only issue I had was finding close parking. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. "
