It was a perfect place to rest and unwind. We enjoyed our visit to Salem from the Inn. The room was just right and the outdoor space is cozy and relaxing.

Nice classic scenic motel
We knew this location was not a full service hotel and that was exactly what we wanted. It was clean, the bed was big and comfy, plus it had a great view and walkable access to a Dunkin and two local restaurants. Very nice and helpful staff in the office. If we are ever back in the area we would love to stay again!

We checked in and was greater by a very pleasant lady who walked us to the cottage in the pouring rain to show us which was ours. It was a cute set up with table and chairs, fridge and Microwave. The beds extra comfortable. Plenty of plug outlets bed side and around the cottage. We stayed 4 nights and definitely will return.

Très bel hôtel. Belle petite chambre. Vraiment très tranquille et magnifique paysage autour. Avec la rivière juste à côté Personnel très gentil Par contre il faut se prévoir une petite collation ou autre si on a faim. Il n’y pas grand chose autour . Un petit dépanneur est proche avec station service J’y retournerais pour sur ☺️

Just to note for maybe another visit, there are 5 Restaurants all within walking distance of Shea's Riverside Inn & Motel, 3 are right across the Street (-:. Thanks again for chosing to stay with us!Gayle*************************************************************very nice hotel. Nice little room. Really very quiet and magnificent landscape around. With the river right next door Very nice staff On the other hand you have to bring a small snack or something else if you are hungry. There isn't much around. A small convenience store is nearby with gas station I would go back there for sure

My husband and I just stayed there for our anniversary vacation which was four days long. The property was beautiful. The staff was nice. The room was clean and quaint. They did supply a hair dryer and some toiletries. The toiletries were beekman which we love so that was nice. There were some cons. We had a double bed room. Bed was small. There were no refrigerators, microwaves, pictures on the walls, and they did not supply ice for our cooler that we brought ( thank god we brought that cooler)! We did a daily trips for ice and food. The shower was tiny! We could not stand in front of the sink because it was so close to the wall across from it so we had to use it from the side. And we could not get the shampoos etc out of the tiny toiletry bottles. Also, it was not convenient if you like to shop, eat out or DoorDash unless you wanted to seafood. The closest eateries were 5 to 10 miles away even on DoorDash. There was a Dunkin’ Donuts right across the street but we don’t drink coffee and it was only open in the mornings.

We stayed 2 nights oct 13th and 14th , and enjoyed every moment of our stay. We had a late check in due to traffic and the lady at the front desk was so helpful and understanding and made our late check-in a breeze. The room was amazing. Super clean . The bed was so comfortable i didnt want to get out of it. . It was so quiet and peacful there as well. Will definitely recommend to any and everyone and would definitely stay here again. . Thank you Shea's Inn for a wonderful stay.

This property was beautiful. We visited to experience Salem during Halloween but fell in love with the relaxing atmosphere surrounding the Inn.

Highly recommend - our room was spotless, modern and comfortable. We were checking in after hours and when I contacted the front desk about this, they wrote back to me immediately with directions on what to do. The process was seamless and I appreciated the excellent customer service!

Upon arrival and check-in, staff was extremely friendly. Easy to check-in, we had read all conditions before we booked. (no ice on premises, no daily clean- we didn't care at all) The property is across from a dunkin donuts, Woodmans clams and lobster(fabulous btw), Shea's Restaurant and more.. While the weather wasn't the best for us, it is on the water and kinda neat to see.

This is a really cute motel along the water with a variety of restaurants within walking distance in this cute little town. I wish I had time to stay longer and relax overlooking the water.

The room was nice and clean. The location is great. But, the pictures are a bit deceptive. We paid for the cottage but when arrived the cottage is behind 2 other buildings. Also not the great views show .

Very cute and quaint and next to the water
Super cute! Staff were friendly. A/C worked good, TV was easy to figure out. When looking for an outlet behind the bed and night table I noticed dust and cobwebs along w/what looked like a Reese’s cup paper- also cobwebs behind toilet. If you need multiple things plugged in at once, I suggest bringing an extension cord.

Staff was especially great! And we thank a certain someone for the yummy dessert! Our only disappointment was no Adirondacks chairs around the fire pit on the water as depicted in the website pictures.

Not sure what pic you might have been looking at but, I've never had a fire-pit on my beach around the Adirondack chairs, this place would go up like a book of matches if we did! Ha-Ha (-; Big safety issue for us so no open flames allowed on Property. Hope to see you in the future should you travels bring you back to Essex or the Cape Ann area.Gayle

Vacation stay
Stayed here for 3 days and 3 nights and loved it. Came to Massachusetts to visit Salem and this was the perfect spot to stay

(-: We have larger rooms available with more space for you that are just as cute and clean as your room was. Inside the room, we noticed the cover with blanket have a bit of fuzzy dust and few stained spots. The top sheet have rust looking spot. When we arrived back to the room, we took our shower to clean off from all day walking around. We got into bed, that is where we noticed few problematic spots. We removed the cover and blanket and used the only sheets to sleep naked. Boy we itched all night and didn’t sleep well. Told the motel front desk person abt the problem and possibility bed bugs. Boy she defended herself and said the room does not have bed bugs. I said okay, perhaps dirty sheets. She said no. She does not believe any word I said. She was not receptive of my sharing experience staying in the room. I said from a business owner to another business owner, I wanted to share feedback to improve the room conditions. She didn’t respond with appreciation; thus, she received the lowest rating.
