This house had one of the best appointed kitchens I’ve seen in a rental. The house is also great to just chill. One day we just stayed on site, hot tubbing and eating in. Very relaxing.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and comfortable, with numerous amenities. It sits on a huge property with plenty of solitude (only 2 neighbors within sight and cows can be heard mooing in the distance.) It's not far from the free ferry over to Grafton, Pere Marquette and the Great River road, or the fee-ferry over to St. Charles (and their historic landing there with quaint shops). It was really the perfect place to get away for a couple of nights. It was a bit windy while we were there, which had us spending more time in the game room one night than outside, which was fine. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Very clean, kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The host had many added personal touches like a hand written welcome note and banana bread waiting for us upon arrival. Host also messaged the day of arrival telling us the place was ready for us and we could check in early if we’d like (without us even asking for an early check in). It was so nice to be able to take advantage of the early check in! Will definitely be back.

This is our 3rd time staying at the Red Barn. We love the remote location that is still very easy to get to from St. Charles County. Always a nice relaxing weekend with plenty to do from the pool table, to the fire pit or the hot tub.

This is a gorgeous house, it was a fantastic experience. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the place was so beautifully decorated. It felt very remote and private. The Barn A

The Barn in Golden Eagle, Illinois is definitely a must see experience. Being in the middle of rolling hills and fields, the scenery is absolutely beautiful. The house is VERY clean and has everything you need. The kitchen is loaded with pots and pans, utensils, and even spices and condiments. Tons of extra towels and extra soaps and shampoos are in the bathrooms. Beautifully decorated, it is a totally complete household. With the hot tub outside, 2 decks for bird watching, a pool table in the man cave and games, puzzles and Bluetooth, all you need to bring is your food, and you don’t have to leave for anything. We had such a peaceful, relaxing visit, we will definitely be coming back again. Susan was always in contact with me, making sure we didn’t need anything. We definitely give this place an A. This place was absolutely amazing!! Gorgeous on the inside and out! Great communication with the owners as well. It was so nice to stay here and be away from the city and just take all the beautiful views in and listen to the birds chirping while drinking coffee then wine. :) The ferry’s were fun to take and it was easy to get to Grafton or even to the big city if you needed to. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely stay again.

Perfect Getaway!

Let me start with holy breathtaking! This is by far the best place we’ve staying! The scenery is absolutely stunning. From the early morning sunrise sent in the hot tub to chilling on the deck durning the sunset you can see a lot of beautiful wildlife frolicking around on the hills! I know the “man cave” is for men lol but we had sooo much fun playing pool and darts. This place is everything you ask for and more!! There is ALWAYS something to do! The hosts are absolutely amazing! Very clear check in and out process. They are very communicative and even left us many goodies! We couldn’t have asked for better hosts! We are definitely coming back in the future!!!

Birthday gets away

My wife and couple came to celebrate my birthday. We were going to grafton for the winery’s and the park. Staying here was perfect for us. The drive to grafton wasn’t very far at all. I loved being out in the middle of no where and away from everything. The stay was just what we needed. The hot tub was great and the ability to use the grill was nice for a meal instead of having to eat out both nights. What you see in the pictures is what it is in person. Very clean and spacious. Susan was wonderful to work with.
