The lodge was even more beautiful than we could have anticipated. We were there for my bachelorette weekend, and it couldn't have been a more perfect location for a large group. Everyone had such fun wandering the grounds and lazing down by the river, sitting in the chairs around the fire pit and lounging in the hot tub (!), sleeping in comfortable beds and playing all the games downstairs. The host was communicative and helpful; getting in to the house was a breeze. Cell service is a little dodgy in the area, but once you're on the wifi, all is well! And they have an incredible SONOS system all throughout the house. The lodge has every amenity for a cozy, delightful stay. 1000/10. We can't wait to go back!

The house looks tired. Some TLC. The vanity on the main bathroom right hand side does not work. The light in the closet of the main bathroom does not work. The sink in the bathroom next to the bedrooms in the first floor is clogged. There are no lights on the side of the house that you park the cars. One of the chairs in the theater room is not reclining the other chairs don’t work properly. It is a real inconvenience, not to have an icemaker in the house. We were OK because it was winner, but in the summer, it must be difficult to keep up with the ice for the number of people in the house. The kitchen, they say knife sharpener, and a new can opener.

We had an amazing time at this lodge we had 21 people adults and kids ranging 2-15 and we all fit comfortably with beds to spare. Lots of things for kids to do and play in the rec room and outside if weather permits. Would absolutely return!

Unique, superb location for large groups

This is a wonderfully large but still very cozy option for group retreats or family get-togethers. The bedrooms are all very comfortable and separated just enough from the main gathering areas. The basement game area and basketball court add plenty of activity options. The hosts are very kind and communicative, as well.

Perfect family vacation week

What a wonderful week with our children and grandchildren!! Many memories were made. We were blessed with some mild days and the kids even got to float down the creek! I think the favorite was the kitchen with all of its room as we prepared meals each day. The downstairs game room was the greatest babysitter.!!! we have already booked again for 2026 !!!

Business Meeting Retreat

We hosted our sales team for a three day retreat. The home and property was awesome! Everyone enjoyed their time here. We did a teambuilding scavenger hunt in Blue Ridge, Georgia, which is very close to where the property is. We highly recommend this property for large groups and gatherings.

Extending thanks from our extended family

We searched long and hard for the right property to host a special birthday celebration. With four generations ranging from 8 months to 85 years, we needed a place that offered something for everyone – and Laughing Bear Lodge was the perfect choice. It's huge, comfortable, well stocked, and well laid out. With so many entertainment options, the kids were never bored, and that gave the adults plenty of quality time for catching up. The enormous kitchen and great room accommodated all of us comfortably, but there was also plenty of space for downtime and privacy. Sarah, our host, was helpful and transparent from start to finish. We knew exactly what to expect, and check-in/check-out could not have been easier. She answered every question promptly before, during, and after our stay, and she reached out proactively at several points to be sure we had everything we needed. When our 3-day stay was over, my father proclaimed that his 85th birthday was "the best ever." That made it worth every penny, and we're so glad we found Laughing Bear Lodge.

We have a group that vacations together every summer and this was the perfect house for our group. We had a great time hanging out on the property, but we also did white water rafting and zip lining nearby. We would definitely recommend!

Family Reunion in Blue Ridge

It is a wonderful place for the entire family to enjoy. Plenty of space and fun things for the kids to do. They all loved floating down the creek. The basement was a hit and gave the adults a little space to enjoy each other. Would recommend for any large gathering. The property manager was super helpful and responsive to our questions.

Wonderful riverside retreat.

From the size and beauty of the property to the layout and furnishings of the bedrooms, I have yet to find a better place for a 20-30 person retreat. The theater, game room and indoor basketball/racquetball court were a nice plus. Aside from a little mixup with the door code which was quickly rectified, our stay was perfect. We may try for a spring or summer stay next time so we can take advantage of the volleyball court and ample field space. Thanks again!

Excellent activity oriented facilities.

Excellent facility for multi-generational families. Large updated kitchen and indoor/outdoor dining. Great for our family reunion. Sarah and Jeff were very communicative and friendly. They responded to our inquiries and requests promptly. We have rented with VRBO frequently and LBL is one of the better properties.

Central area fabulous, Bedroom areas spacious but could use some updating. Plenty of room for our party of 19 - very conducive for large groups. Resort Manager very responsive as needs arrived. Blue Ridge town great for an afternoon out and about. Overall the family had a memorable time.

Wonderful stay!

This place was perfect for our family reunion! We had family field day events, a glow party by the fire, played in the water, the game room, you name it. There is plenty of room to spread out and so many things to do! Time flew by. Lots of memories were made! Remember to bring plenty of ice! We packed our coolers to get everything to the house so we were good. There is Wi-Fi but it is weak. It forced us to stay off of our phones which was fine for our group.
