Came up to enjoy father's day weekend and all that DC offers. The location was awesome. Close to everything and easy access. Had parking for our boat as well!

Great location, friendly atmosphere.

Nice clean, quiet, and fun area to stay. Great location to the beach and downtown Ephraim. Would recommend to anyone.

Clean cottage great location

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is fantastic! It's off the main road and really relaxing with the outdoor patio furniture and hammock but still within walking distance of a coffee shop and a few local restaurants, all of which were awesome! Ephraim is also centrally located on the peninsula which makes it a quick trip to whatever activities you're wanting to do. Place is on the smaller side but clean and had a full kitchen and AC which worked perfectly for our group. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Quick stay

Pretty expensive to stay for a couple of days with all the added fees and charges but the home itself and location were very nice. It was clean and a quick walk to the beach.

Lovely stay at Shady Rest North

We enjoyed our stay at Shady Rest North! The cottage is updated, clean and location cannot be beat! Rode the back roads to shops and restaurants and enjoyed the beach. Our 9 and 12 year old loved the Badminton right out the front door. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great Experience!

This place was perfect for our family. Loved the location, walking distance from beach. Playground was a huge hit with our kids. The place was clean, cozy and comfortable. The whole experience with the owners was great as well. Quick responses, Clear check-in and check-out directions. Also, my girls loved the bucket of crayons and coloring books in their room. Sweet touch.

First trip to Door County

This is a clean and cozy duplex property, you can walk to the lake and nearby restaurants. The hosts are attentive and responsive and want to make sure your stay is pleasant, we received some nice gifts and are grateful for the hospitality. The location is very quiet. Piggy Wiggly and Sister Bay were a short 5 min drive. I enjoyed our short stay over Memorial Day weekend. The weather was not great, cold and rainy. This is a good option for a short stay and/or a first time visit.

Great for a family getaway!

Our time at the shady rest north was nothing short of amazing! Ruann and Daryl were on top of everything! The house was spotless being dog friendly I had expected it to have that pet/cottage odor. It was meticulously clean. They left a smore package for our son with glow sticks to enjoy the fire pit and dog biscuits for our pup. They were prompt in answering questions. Our entire family enjoyed the space. We were able to walk with the pup and toddler to the downtown area, as well as the public beach easily. Will be booking again!

Quick response to your request . . .

Overall: well-supplied, comfortable, very clean and well described. I received a financial statement ahead of visit from you and one from Vrbo. Former said wasn't paid, but Vrbo confirmed that it was. Also received clear instructions that we were required to check in before entering unit, but a conflicting set saying door's open, keys inside. ?? Hot air rises, but no A/C in one bedroom—remove storms, keep screens through fall. And remove wall decorations, & wire rack above toilet and 1 washcloth rack, three towel racks + hooks on doors—one useable rack for top to 4 tenants isn't enough. Otherwise, great experience.

Great place to stay!

When we first arrived, we noticed the coffee filters were missing. Called the number on the frig and someone answered. (I guess I was expecting to talk to an answering machine.) Ruann came over soon after to drop off the filters and along with some homemade cherry jam for the troubles. It was a very thoughtful gesture. Their communication about maintenance happening around the cottages was spot on. I received emails and text messages alerting us to light bulb changes to the deck light and the weed service coming by. We stayed in one of the 2-story cottages. It was awesome - had everything we needed and appreciated the reminder to bring our own cooking oil and tin foil. It was just my boyfriend, dog, and I staying, but I think it would have comfortably fit 2 more people. I definitely recommend staying here and plan to be back!
