Friendly neighborhood, local attractions which as ATV, horse back riding and beach.the best part was the house, it was fully equipped, clean and cozy. Totally would rent this house again!!!

Perfect family get away.

Beautiful location and beautiful view. Short walk to the beach was also a plus. Everything smelled clean, even the towels I couldn’t stop sniffing. Oh, and the water pressure was beyond expectations. Definitely would stay again.

Great home in a beautiful neighborhood

We enjoyed staying here. We stayed with our family of 7 and our friends family of 6. It has plenty of beds for all. It’s close to the beach and in a beautiful neighborhood! We would stay here again!

This host/owner is money hungry. Worst place in Ensenada to stay at. Misleading information Not humble about my kids needs, not feeling comfortable and being scared. My family had to sleep in the living room. SUPER secluded from everything. Worst experience EVER would not recommend this property. It's a joke working with them and vrbo to try to help get your money back. What they offer to return. SMH. Ridiculous this should never be listed as a Rental Property. Do not spend your money here. Don't believe previous reviews.

Hard to find if you don't get there before dark

Overall, we had a great stay. It was a bit further away than would have been ideal, but that is more about the system than the description. The traffic was horrible getting into Ensenada which is beyond the owner's control. It took us no less than an hour to get to meet up with other family members so it created a bit of frustration for a few members. The house itself is great.

Excellent Choice

We are really impressed by this property, the location and specially the host! Her process of written instructions and plenty of information and tips were remarkable! The house was very well equipped and truly the representation of all the pictures. Esther was really nice to leave plenty of water bottles in each bathroom and plenty of beach towels. We want to go back for sure.

Outstanding!

Thank you so much, Esther, for the lovely home. Our vacation was wonderful. We had 9 people staying and there was still room left for at least 5 more people (as well as space to put air mattresses for more people if wanted). It was spacious and almost everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. We had everything we needed from towels to toiletries. Having the kitchen upstairs right next to the big balcony was a treat, and we ate most of our meals outside in the lovely weather with a spectacular view of the city and skyline. The furniture outside on the balcony and near the fountain downstairs was very comfortable and we enjoyed it a lot. The house was pleasantly large and bright, and had a fresh ocean breeze from the open windows. The outside shower was used after swimming in the warm ocean water and walking on the beach. Our kids loved the jacuzzi and community pool. We bought a lot of produce in nearby stores like Calimax and Costco. We mostly cooked our own food and we had all the kitchen appliances we needed for that (except metal cooking sheets for the oven). We really enjoyed the griddle that was provided. Make sure that you have your own water for cooking (thank you so much Esther for providing us with two cases of water bottles from Costco!) We were also surprised and pleased with the 24 hour security that made us feel very safe. There were quite a bit of mosquitoes after sunset, so make sure you bring bug repellent with you (we drove to Calimax and bought an outlet plug-in bug repellent for each room and after that the mosquitoes weren’t a problem). We think Esther has the best beach house out of all the ones we looked at. Overall, we had a blast and plan to come back. Thank you, again, so much!

AMAZING

From the time we reserved to the time we left the house, the communication was always immediate. Any question we had was answered. It had every item and more listed on the website. My family and I had the best time cooking out and enjoying the beautiful weather. We all want to go back and stay for a few more days.

Family vacation by the beach

The property was easy to access with the directions given. The directions were extremely helpful and detailed. The property looked just as described and shown in photos. We had to wait one day to use to jacuzzi due to sand being inside prior to our arrival however, it was taken care of and cleaned quickly. The property owner was at attentive and easy to get in contact with. My children had a great time. I would definitely stay again

We had a great time... brought our sxs and no problems the fit in the garage, we had now worries with having the guard gate so close.. the neighbors were very nice and the staff was awesome.. we will be back.

Not much Privacy but an excellent stay none the less

It’s the corner house and the surrounding walls are very low. There are about two dozen huge windows but without any curtains neighbors can see directly into the home. That being said we still had a wonderful time. The Jacuzzi was ready to go right when we checked in. I told the host it was my sons birthday and they left little balloons in the house for him which we all thought was such a sweet touch. The house was extremely clean and there is PLENTY of sleeping space. Great for bigger families! The view is amazing and the estuary is beautiful. It’s a very quite neighborhood, and feels very safe! We very much enjoyed our stay and will be returning next year to celebrate again!

Nice place with privacy and security.

My family had a great time. The house was big enough for everyone to have their own room. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepared a family meal. The pool and the jacuzzi made our vacation time fun.

The exact accomodations we needed

Esther was great to us and our family from beginning to end. She answered all of our questions even before we reserved. Once the date to travel arrived we requested arriving a day earlier and she accommodated us gracefully. We arrived at the house and it was cold but we turned up the thermostat (first floor hallway) and the house warmed up automatically. The house is not luxurious but its spacious and 3/5 rooms have their own bathroom, which is awesome! The bunk room and other room share a bathroom so there are 4 bathrooms total. After a day or two we requested some cleaning supplies and blankets and Esthers housekeeper came by right away and supplied us with what we needed promptly. The beach is right down the street of a really calm neighborhood and it is beautiful. The chairs provided for guest use in the garage are perfect! Calimax (grocery store) is a short drive away. We got a lot of rain during our stay and the tile got a a little slippery. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub, the kids did use the playground but the beach was far more fun when we had the chance to go out there. Thank you so much Esther for welcoming our big family into your home. You are a very gracious and kind host!

Unforseen weather challenges

Unfortunately So Cal and Mexico experienced some wet weather which caused loss of electricity and some water in the house. The next morning all blue skies and ready to explore outdoors in the surf and sand. Great place to relax.

9 Days at Villa BajaBarr

Esther was fantastic with timely responses to our inquiries. Marina restaurant & bar is a short walk and the staff were very welcoming. Food was excellent. Significant rain on the peninsula made for a few challenging scenarios. Nevertheless. would definitely stay at Villa Baja Barr again.

Great for groups

The property is well suited for groups with several bathrooms, and rooms including a room perfect for younger ones with bunkbeds. The jacuzzi was great to relax in, and the jungle gym for kids was great. It's too bad there isn't shade in the outdoor space, would have been great to have! The kitchen had all the essentials, including coffee amenities, and cooking utensils. The location was nice, close enough to walk to the quiet beach and to the restaurant, though we didn't visit the restaurant on our visit. The owner was very accessible and friendly in answering questions as well as accommodating late check-out requests.

Great house for families!

We loved the home and owners flexibility and availability. Only suggestion would be adding jacuzzi fees into cost of room. It’s easy to overlook fine print. That additional fee along with service and cleaning fee resulted in much more than the estimated 300 a night.

Great family play house

This house developed and maintained to entertain family. Management kind and accessible. Kind neighbors. Short walk to beautiful beach. Good security (gated community) with helpful guards. Country feel yet easy access to shopping/dining. Will be back!
