Perfect beach getaway

Perfect location with beach view. Stunning sunsets and great beach. The only one suggestion is to change out the mattress in the main bedroom. It was uncomfortable for us. Thanks for a great stay!

Peaceful Getaway

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this property. Directly on the beach with beautiful views of sunsets, close to restaurants and bars. Very quiet, perfect for getting away and relaxing. Kitchen is adequately stocked, furniture could use some updating, comfortable beds. Great place to get away from it all.

Great location.

We stayed here 4 nights. What a great area to enjoy beach life with the family. This is the upstairs apartment like unit. 4 rentals on site. There were a few things that needed attention but we weren't concerned with them. The a/c worked great. Owner was cool, never bothered us. Advised where our visitors could park. Stumps pass is fantastic. Definitely hope to return

Beautiful!!!

I loved being able to walk out to the beach. Sitting on the front porch and seeing the beautiful sunsets. You can hear the waves while sitting in the living room. The whole condo was beautiful and very comfortable. Will come again :)

This is the perfect property if you’re a beach person!! Just wake up and you’re there. The place had a comfortable lived in feel, if you want shiny and new, this is not your place, this place covers your basic needs, it was wonderful enjoying the sunset on the porch, absolutely stunning. The only thing I would note is the blinds on the slider do not cover the entire window, about half of the slats were missing, I hung a sheet to cover the opening. A previous guest of the unit was next door and said the blind has been broken for a few years!! Highly recommend this property, wish I would’ve stayed longer!

Relaxing Spring Break

We had a wonderful relaxing spring break. We brought our electric scooters and moved around the area with ease. The house was very clean, sand and water steps away. Our teenage girls loved the area with loungers just outside the door due to high winds and they could tan without sand getting blown at them. Furniture inside could use an upgrade, but you're there for the beach! The house had everything we needed for the week.

Great views

This property has great views and a great location. Private parking is a plus. It does need some updating and maintenance. Fresh(better) bed linens would be nice. The front sliding door was very difficult to lock, the bathroom window does not stay open and the vertical shades are broken. I have notified the host and he said he will fix these issues.

A gem on the beach

I absolutely loved staying here. I gave it 5 stars ! I’ll have to say for me it was perfect. It’s Old Florida! The only negative I could say was that the evening sun was hot and the AC couldn’t keep up for a few hours but several of the blinds on the slider were missing and I think if they are fixed it would not be an issue. We booked for 4 nights but because the internet was strong it allowed my husband to work remotely and we were able to extend our stay which was easy to do. Just bring your suit and sunscreen. Towels and chairs are provided. Thank you Andrew !

The view and distance from the property are exceptional. Beautiful sunsets, strolls on the beach, ocean breeze, everything is so picturesque. Andrew our host was exceptional and attentive. On my list for future bookings.

Gulf Front Views

Pros: *Amazing gulf views *Equipped kitchen & nice bathroom *Walking distance to restaurants Cons: *AC doesn't keep up on hot days. *Broken/Missing slats on the vertical blinds (not much help blocking sun or keeping bright lights off the beach at night during turtle nesting season. *Furniture is old...the couch is literally 30 years old and the 'recliner' chairs have cracked/peeling leather. *Grassy areas around picnic tables are now covered in sand (possibly due to Ian or done on purpose to advertise as 'walking out on to the beach') *Guests are no longer permitted to use the washer/dryer, so no fresh towels for extended stays unless you take away beach time to go to a laundromat. *No pool (never has been a big deal until the price hit a 225% increase) *Former name of Chalet Laun is still at the end of the drive 2 years later. *One charcoal grill to be shared among 6 apartments. A couple gas grills would be nice. *Many properties offer an extended stay discount if staying 7 or more days. This has been our 'go to' Manasota Key destination for decades; however, the price of this property has skyrocketed since under new ownership with no apparent upgrades to the apartments. Lots of other options at this price point that offer more quality. Many of the best family memories have been made at this property, but it's time to move on...it's been outpriced for what it is...and that's the view only.
