"Very clean and well maintained."

"Bel endroit propre bien situé"

"Over all good stay"

"Worst booking ever. No, I repeat, no hotel staff....anywhere. The front door to the hotel was unlocked. The restaurant was locked. The bar was locked. Our key was put in the room door. No air con, No bathroom in the room. Small room - about 3 meters square. Just a bed. No table (or room) for even one piece of luggage. Absolutely ridiculous. One public area toilet did not flush. Leave your key on the counter when you go. Expedia, shame on you. This hotel is ok for those who want this type of...

"We found a couple little bugs but other than that everything was fine, the bed was not as comfy but it was pretty good for one night "

"El matrimonio alemán que lo dirige, se vuelcan para hacer una estancia agradable. "

"Owner really rude and aggressive, knocking on the door at 10.00 asking us to leave. Not 10.10 or 10.01. It seem he was waiting at the door looking at his watch. After I said ok, and even when he could see that my baby was half dressed, he knocked again 30 seconds later. In two months in New Zealand staying at different places I have never experienced such horrible behavior. "

"Good place to stay. Bathroom was very clean. the room was too oldfashioned and should need a renovation."

"Really nice property and well taken care of . The staff were super nice and help. It's a great location."

"Nice place to stay."

"The room is quite spacious. It has kitchenware but no stove, which makes cooking inconvenient. Also, I booked a two‑bedroom unit but was given a studio instead. Fortunately, the front‑desk staff were very helpful and changed it for me."

"This was an absolutely delightful place to stay. Spectaculary renovated property with a completely unique, fabulous style. Every comfort considered, breakfasts that were beyond, and pastry chef treats with your evening tea. Katrina and Brenda are warm, gracious hosts who make you feel like welcome friends. We are so happy we were able to enjoy their outstanding hospitality and excellent tips for what to do in the area. A total delight!"

"I had a wonderful stay at Pen-y-bryn Lodge. The property is a beautiful historic building with a peaceful atmosphere, and the room was spacious, spotless, and full of character. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel warm and personal. Overall, a fantastic experience — I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Oamaru."
