We were lucky with some mild weather on Christmas day which allowed us some time outdoors, but I can imagine how nice the outside area must be during the warmer months. "I absolutely loved being at the Wee Hobbit House, Scottlandyard in Brooktondale, NY. I am a 70 year old woman and went to upstate NY to spend time with my daughter and grandson. Was a perfect location for me... 10 minutes from my daughter, Dandy Mart on the way for coffee and gas. "We had an amazing stay! The Barn is cozy~beautiful with an elegant but rustic sleek design. We loved sitting by the fire, swinging on the hammock, and spending time in the hot tub. We were able to create wonderful memories full of a birthday dinner, board games, sunrises and sunsets. We were thrilled to each have a television in our room. Our cell reception and the wifi were perfect during our entire stay. The scenery in the area is gorgeous and with The Barn situated at the bottom of a foothill...

"My family of 3 and another family of 4 stayed at the house and it was perfect! The house was very clean with comfortable beds and looked just like the pics. The owner was very responsive whenever I messaged. The provided towels & linens as well as coffee and other supplies was a very nice touch! We went into Binghamton on Friday night and went skiing at Greek Peak all day on Saturday. We would definitely stay here again if we were coming to the area!"

"I really have mixed feelings about my stay. For just somewhere to crash at a low price, it was fine. In fact, I sense they did a lot to make a modified single-wide trailer house into a stayable place. There are newer fixtures and furniture, but things like wall paint and trim and such were done badly. It was a mix of nice touches and run-down details. I really liked the mini-counter with tall chairs in the kitchen, but weirdly, none of the kitchen cabinets or even the fridge had door...

We enjoyed 4 days of quiet, peaceful reading by the fire, naps, hotubs sessions, cooking and baking, baths, games of pool, walks with the amazing views, stargazing, enjoying the snow sunsets and sunrises….it was something out of a book and we already are looking to come back in May for my birthday!
