If you want beautiful views, privacy and quiet, then this is the place for you! The road up to the house is partially paved and partially gravel and takes a little under 15 minutes to get to from the main road. Don't let this intimidate you, as the result is well worth the drive. We enjoyed expansive views of Emigrant Peak from the house and everything we needed for our one week stay was at our fingertips. Paradise Valley has plenty of things to do including hiking, rafting on the Yellowstone, wildlife viewing, and more. There is a small general store about 10 miles from the house. We were able to get everything we needed for our stay.
Things to Do: The north entrance of Yellowstone is about 45 minutes from the property. You go through the small town of Gardiner to get there. Gardiner has a larger grocery store and has some places to eat. Bozeman is about an hour from the house and has plenty of shopping and restaurants. Our favorite place to dine out was the Old Saloon (across from the general store). This place had ambiance, decent food and was very convenient to the property.
The bedroom upstairs (in the loft) was a wonderful experience. There is little privacy up there, but enough to make it enjoyable. And you can't beat the views from this room. There are two additional bedrooms on the main level.
Mary, the property owner, was a joy to communicate with. We did not have to, but knew we could reach out if we needed anything.
Wonderful stay!
