Wonderful

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was amazing and the first floor bedroom was perfect for my elderly parents. The beach access was as promised and the views were beautiful from the balconies! Neill was a delight to communicate with, extremely prompt with responses and reached out to make sure things were going well during our stay. We are hoping to plan another trip later this year and will absolutely be booking this again!!

Great upper & lower decks, very close to ocean

Classic beach house! Simply but comfortably furnished, with mattresses varying from firm to extra soft (something for everybody). Lots of TVs that we didn't use but also cards & games that we did. Good internetThe kitchen had what we needed, plenty of dishes & flatware, decent assortment of pots and pans. As with most places, it might be useful to bring your own nonstick skillet and a sharp knife. Appreciated that there was a regular coffee maker in addition to the Keurig. Nice to have an ice maker in the fridge, to! Loved the 2 ocean view upstairs bedrooms with doors out to the upper deck, appreciated that the decks connected with an outside stairway. Adirondack chairs on upper and lower decks are wonderful, but I spent even more time sitting in one of the tall chairs on the upper deck. Currently, the primary dune is high enough to barely block the view of the sand (but not the water) from the first level, so the best views are from the upper deck. Loved being so close to the ocean, closer than any place we've stayed! The boardwalk was really short, ending just before the small primary dune, which might be a challenge if you have a bad knee (I just had mine replaced & was fine). Surf fishing was meh, but that's been par for the course lately for us, even in spring. Captain Willis supplied us with excellent shrimp, and we also went to Swansboro one night for outstanding BBQ, fried oysters, and hush puppies at the Bogue House. We'd stay here again & again!

Great Weekend Escape

This beach house was conveniently located, very clean, attractively decorated, good lighting throughout, and had lovely outdoor sitting areas. There were even some cozy lap blankets for chilly mornings/evenings on the deck. The views are spectacular and falling asleep to the sound of waves was so soothing. The owner was great about communicating in a timely fashion and accommodating an unavoidable need to reschedule our initial reservation. Please note guests are supplied with sheets and towels, as well as hand soap, dish soap, and dishwasher pods. If you forget to bring your own soap for the shower or paper products to supplement the partial rolls of toilet paper and paper towels provided, there are plenty of stores nearby. We would definitely book this property again.

Nice beach house

We enjoyed our stay. The property owner was nice and had great communication. Wish could have few essentials like beach towels, extra kitchen towels and hand soaps were empty. We would rent again.

The view!!

Waking up to the beautiful view (from multiple rooms in the home) and hearing the ocean waves was breathtaking. Neill (host) was very accommodating and responsive, before, during, and after our stay. The location and convenience of being right on the beach was fantastic. A couple of screen doors need some attention, the dishwasher didn't seem to clean to well, and the couch could use a cleaning, but overall, we found the place to be cozy and comfortable, safe and peaceful. Will never forget that view!

Two thumbs up for second stay

Owners are very communicative and friendly. Property is well taken care of and clean. We love not having to worry about bringing beach toys or umbrellas. House is stocked with lots of things to entertain adults and kids. The best part being the things to entertain kids😝 It was our second stay and we enjoyed it even more than the first. Don't hesitate booking.😊

I wish I owned this place!

We absolutely loved everything about this home. When they say beach front, they are not kidding. You can't get any closer. It was cozy, but roomy enough for 3 toddlers. The kitchen was well equipped and I could have lived out on the decks. Neil was extremely responsive when we needed him and offered incredibly detailed instructions about how to enter etc. I hope to be back!

Summer vacation

Overall it was a good rental. A few issues - the downstairs bed was not comfortable. The upstairs beds were better but it got very hot at night. I think a reverse floor plan would be great for this unit. The upstairs balcony having the best views. Location was great. Beach never really got too crowded. Quick access to the beach. Some pots and pans need to be replaced but overall a good kitchen. Nicely decorated. Minimal but just enough. The couch could use a good cleaning. Had a bit of an odor. The bathrooms were very small but clean. Did not have any issues where I needed to contact owner so that was a huge plus.

Location! Location! Location!

We stayed at this clean, beautiful beach front home and had a fabulous time. We had my 6 month old grandson so we wanted to have easy access to go back and forth to the beach from the house. It was perfect! Beautiful view from the house which is just steps to the beach! We had a wonderful stay!

Emerald isle

Relaxing stay at Emerald Isle. Unit was steps from the uncrowded beach. Duplex was clean and suited our family of 5. Kitchen had everything we needed for the week and plenty of towels were provided, as well as, linens for the 4 beds. Neil was responded within minutes when we had questions.

Owners were great and very friendly. They answered all questions before arrival as well! Location was great! Everything was described in the listing perfectly! Perfect for women's getaway!

The space was just right for 4 women. All the rooms were a nice size and each had queen sized beds that were very comfortable. The living area was cozy, the outside deck was fabulous! We especially appreciated being so close to the beach and the way the dune directly behind the house blocked the view of people on the beach, while providing an amazing ocean view. We would definitely rent again!

Emerald Isle Surprise birthday party

My former work colleagues got together to surprise our former boss for his 80th birthday. He now lives in the Swansboro area. We drove from West Virginia for this event and it was perfect. Our condo was great! Right on the ocean, clean, comfortable, and close to his house. We enjoyed touring Emerald Isle and the adjoining communities. Great restaurants and shopping. People were very nice everywhere we went. Beautiful area! Enjoyed Fort Macon and the firing of the canons!!!!

Wonderful ocean front property!

Great rooms, loved the set up, especially having an upper and lower balcony making it easier for our kids (older) to run down to the beach without all of us having to pack up and go. Any issues we had were addressed quickly to our mutual satisfaction. Would stay again!!
