This was an excellent place to stay. There was something for everyone in our three generation family. We would recommend this property to anyone who would like to visit the Ely, MN area. It would be a great place to stay during any season.

What an amazing place. This is our second year in a row with 10 friends staying at Atomic Lodge and it fit our needs perfectly! Beautiful back yard with fire pit, sauna, spacious kitchen and everything we needed. We will be back!

The Atomic Lodge was an absolutely lovely stay, I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! It was cozy yet spacious, very well stocked, the sauna was perfect and every detail was thought through. The hosts provide every kind of way I can think of to make coffee, there are games and books provided as well as an entire game room, the kitchen has extremely nice cookware, and there is plenty of firewood provided in a very cute woodshed. I have a million great things to say about this stay, would highly recommend!

The Lodge is absolutely wonderful, top to bottom! Our crew of seven ladies were able to enjoy nearly every feature and perk it has to offer. Our favorite times were lounging in the living room with the fire going on those chilly nights. Thank you for creating such a beautiful place for friends and family to gather together!

Excellent Place to Stay

We booked a bunch of vacation rentals in Ely while our film crew needed to work in the area. This one in particular was the most favorite! Amazing house and great place to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had such a good time, and we cannot wait to book The Atomic Lodge again. The home is so welcoming, and offered lots of comfy spaces to chill after our adventures in and around Ely. We took advantage of the walking proximity to town the whole time we were there, but once we were back at the lodge, we felt as if we were tucked in our own private space in the woods. We had a ball and will definitely book again. Thank you for a fun and fabulous vacation!

Thomas was an extremely responsive and helpful host. The home offered plenty of space for our family to gather comfortably. We stayed during the winter, but it was easy to see how wonderful the outdoor spaces would be in the summer! The sauna was a a great addition! The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully appointed, and everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. The kitchen was fantastic, stocked with high-end cookware, and clearly designed with care. It’s evident the owners have put a great deal of thought and attention into every detail of the property. If we are ever back in Ely I would 100% rebook this home!

Incredible set up

We stayed with a group of 4 - 2 couples. Amazing mid century house near downtown Ely. Every detail is thoughtful and perfect. Sauna was great every night and we played vinyls and relaxed.

Atomic Lodge Long Weekend Getaway

It was absolutely perfect. The Atomic Lodge had everything the group wanted. Very clean. Cozy living room area with fireplace and record player. A well stocked supply of kitchen implements, made cooking for the group a snap. Pet friendly too! We will be returning again in the future and recommending to friends.

The kind of VRBO you see in the ads but don’t think actually exists.

The title says it all! See those ads on YouTube and think there’s no way one of those places actually exists, or if it does it’s waaaay too expensive? The atomic lodge proves that to be false. Easily the nicest stay we all ever had, for an incredible value. Wonderful beds, a perfect location in the heart of Ely, a bangin’ sauna. Great communication with the hosts and every bell and whistle you could think of. We will be back.

Wonderful family vacation rental

My family and I had such a great time here. The design and personal touches made the place feel so welcoming and comfortable. Three bathrooms for our group of 8 (and a 2 year old) were perfect. The sauna was amazing, the beds were all very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the house itself was so lovely. I would definitely return next time I'm in Ely with a big group. (FYI the basement/bunk room was a little chilly at times and didn't see if there was a thermostat but also didn't ask to clarify).

We had an amazing stay at the Atomic Lodge! The home was perfect for all sorts of groups. The furniture and decor was amazing and exactly as pictured online. The beds were cozy, the showers were nice, and the kitchen was perfect. There is so much thought and detail that went into this property from the amazing photo book with property information, to the welcome sign on the chalkboard. We wish we had more than 2 nights there!We took our 3 young kids and the bunks in the basement were a highlight for them. They loved the secret doors, playing darts, and all of the games. They also loved the record player- as they have never seen one before! We didn't let them operate it, but it was a very cool concept to them.My husband and I utilized the amazing sauna and the fireplace once the kids went down. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect getaway!
