"What a wonderful B&B to stay at, so close to Thursford Christmas Spectacular show, literally a 5 minute walk away. The staff ( who are employed by Thursford) are so charming and very accommodating with every wish and desire. Everything was spotless and every amenity you could ask for in the room (Ivy). The choice of breakfast ( of which there is plenty) is excellent and cooked fresh to order. Would we stay there again? A resounding Yes and thankyou again to all the Staff who made the one night...

"We had a lovely stay. The facilities and staff are all brilliant. The pool and lake was a bit too cold for us in October but will be back in the summer. We had lots of little walks, family game time and enjoyed the boat in the lake. Our dog was in heaven swimming every day!"

"The room was exceptionally spacious and full of character. Many hotels are a bit soulless but this is far from the case here. The staff were professional, friendly and always with a smile. I've seen a few reviews have commented on 'hidden charges' - breakfast isn't included but this is clear from the very start and there's no pressure to eat here in the morning. If you do, however, the food is excellent (we had dinner) and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Enjoyed our stay. Would be nice to park near to the pub, car park is in another field which is a short walk away it seemed safe enough though. St Mary's church. The church > 890917 - 890930 - 890941 dates from the 14th century and was built by Sir Hugh Hastyngs, whose life-sized brass has survived: a replica, as well as the remains of the original > 890940 - dated to 1347 and executed after the design on the Earl of Pembroke's tomb in Westminster Abbey - can still be seen today. St Mary's has no aisles and the nave roof spans 12 metres, which makes it the widest pillarless nave in East Anglia > 890928. The communion rails are late C18 or early C19. There are a number of medieval survivals such as the C14 font > 890943 with a magnificent 15th century cover > 890949. C14 stained glass can be seen in one of the chancel windows, and there is a medieval rood screen dado with 8 painted panels; the paintings, however, are very faded > 890931.
