This cottage exceeded expectations all around. Beautiful tranquil location on the water. All the amenities you desire and more. About 20 minutes from dining options. Check out Sylvia’sCafe in Ellsworth for breakfast. We would love to stay longer next time. Jenny is the perfect host and a proud owner of this treasure on the bay. Did I mention the close proximity to Acadia?

The kitchen and gathering rooms were great. We really liked that the two full bathrooms were both in the hall and could be used by everyone. Great view and lot. It was a long way from restaurants, so we decided to eat in at night. with rain we wanted to have a movie night, but the TV is very small for the space and made watching it difficult.

Fabulous place for our cousin vacation in Maine. Amazing ocean view, great back porch with rocking chairs, and a wonderfully appointed house with comfortable beds, a great room for gathering, and a fully supplied kitchen! Our host was responsive and provided a thoughtful welcome to us. We were very pleased with our experience at Cornerstone Cottage and highly recommend it to others.

Lovely, welcoming and well appointed cottage with a view that invokes inner peace. The deer visited each morning and the Lemoine Beach was perfect for walks and kayak launches. It was an easy drive to Bar Harbor too. We had the best family vacation with our adult children. We would be back every year if we could!!

Simply Beautiful

Our family gathered here to celebrate my retirement and it was the perfect place for us. The cottage is lovely, inside and out, and the location is perfect - close enough to all the sites and far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. We spent lots of time on the beach in front of the house and just down the road at Lamoine beach. The house has just about everything you need…I do recommend bringing some paper plates since no one wants to do dishes! We loved sitting on the porch in the mornings to watch the wildlife (deer, raccoons, squirrels) and to watch the lobster boats coming and going. You’ll appreciate the tide clock in the house so you’ll know when to visit the beaches to look for shells, rocks and sea glass. Jenny was a wonderful host and incredibly responsive when we had one challenge during our stay. Her quick action saved the day! (Our thanks to Joe and Ami, too!) We were so sad to leave and hope to return some day soon!

This is the one!

My biggest issue with writing a review on this property will be trying to condense it. There are so many amazing things, it’s hard to know where to even start.Jenny is the most gracious host and is amazing at keeping in contact. She has thought through every possible need an amenity that a renter could want or need. Sometimes when you look at a picture on these listings, you wonder if it’s too good to be true. Let me assure you that as amazing as these pictures are they don’t even come close to the true beauty of the property. The location, views, and accommodations are simply perfect. I appreciate organization. Jenny’s digital guestbook and her amazing communication left no questions to me as to what needed to be done and where I should go. Her referrals for places to visit are spot on.I truly cannot imagine anything that could have been different to make our visit any better other than just being able to stay longer.Do not hesitate- book Cornerstone Cottage. If we are ever back in the area, it will be my first choice every time.

Picture perfect

The home was beautifully curated throughout with attention to every detail. The charm was not lost on us. Our host had thought of every convenience down to the extra firewood kept dry in the garage. We all agreed that this is a home we would want to return to again.

Perfect spring get-away

The cottage was just what we’d hoped for and more. Beautiful accommodations and you cannot beat the view and huge yard. We loved the fire pit for smores, walking down to look at rocks along the waters edge, and looking out at the ocean during meals from the dining room table. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and would highly recommend it!

Great getaway near Acadia

We had a wonderful time, the cottage has a beautiful view of mt desert island, the host was incredibly kind and communicative, and the property was very clean and accommodating. Plenty to do both at the cottage and at the park, I hope to make it back soon!

Beautiful home and gorgeous views

The house was amazing! Everything is perfect from the beautiful lawn and view of the ocean to the cozy bedrooms and spacious kitchen and den area. Jenny is absolutely a joy to work with! I can’t recommend the house enough!

Perfect Stay on the quieter side of Bar Harbor

Our stay at this house was absolute perfection--away from the bustle of the touristy Bar Harbor but close enough to enjoy all the restaurants and activities in Acadia-- enjoyed the sunrise on the water daily from our own backyard. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything you would need: comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of outdoor seating, fire pit, yard games... they thought of everything! Host Jenny very accommodating and checked in to make sure all was ok-- we are already planning our return next year. Loved it.

Excellent Find!

Cornerstone had everything we needed and was everything we had hoped for! Beautiful views, just enough space for everyone to be comfortable, great outdoor space, and host is amazing. The beds were comfortable (this is a MUST) and the bathrooms were stocked and ready!

Family’s First Trip to Maine

Our family loved our first vacation to Maine so much that we are planning our visit to come again next year. The cottage was even more beautiful than I imagined with comfortable beds, beautiful views and the perfect location to visit Acadia. Our children are in their 20’s and loved Jenny’s recommendations in the digital guidebook for hikes in the park, sailing, restaurants and also enjoyed bonfires at the cottage, kayaking, games at night and big breakfasts in the kitchen each morning. Jenny is the best host and has put so much love into this cottage to make it special for guests. This was a gem of a find!

Wonderful week at Cornerstone!

We felt at home instantly upon entering this charming Cottage. Very clean and spacious, well stocked and no clutter. The expansive lawn leading down to the water was well maintained and also enjoyed by a family of deer From time to time. Very peaceful! We would definitely stay again.

Cornerstone Cottage

Once a year my family plans a trip together. My family loves the outdoors and exploring new places. We all were beyond thrilled with Cornerstone Cottage and all the extras that came with our stay including a meticulously clean home and every little detail that was thought of. The location was perfect for our visits to Acadia National Park and we found some nearby hidden gems such as a nearby swimming pond. We all now share many beautiful memories of our time there!

Amazing!

Cornerstone Cottage is absolutely beautiful! The property was exactly as described in the listing and was very clean and well appointed. The owner was very easy to work with and genuinely goes the extra mile to ensure her guests enjoy their stay. It was also conveniently located to Acadia National Park while remaining serene. I would definitely stay in this property again!

Beautiful setting, immaculate condition

I felt like I walked into a new home. The house has four bedrooms and two baths at the end of the hall - all on the second floor. The first floor has spacious living space. The backyard is large; it is great for family games. The view from the backyard is breathtaking. The host cares about the house and her guests.
