Okay buckle up for the most indepth and honest review you’ve ever read. We stayed in this home for our wedding (we’re from Michigan) and this house was the PERFECT place to hold us, and most of our wedding party comfortably! Let’s start with the house itself it is absolutely gorgeous. The beds were incredibly comfortable which was huge as most of us were getting in from 13 hour drives. The entire house top to bottom was clean and labeled for ease of finding things (always difficult when staying in someone else’s house - which was not an issue here). The hot tub was clean, hot, the jets were perfect and there were special towels for it so we didn’t run out of bath towels trying to keep dry! There is an entire game room in the basement which came in handy when trying to occupy the guys while the girls were getting ready (Huge benefit for us!) I must say the absolutely BEST part of this stay was the absolutely AMAZING INCREDIBLE host!! Nick shout out to you man you are the definition of what a host should be! The communication before we even arrived, the pro tips to get the most out of our stay, the little things that just make a stay so much more relaxing and easy Nick did it! I can’t say enough great things about this house and I will 100% be back to stay! And so will many of our guests who also fell in love with this charming, piece of heaven! You will not regret booking it, but you may regret not booking enough days like we did!! thank you Nick for everything!

This was an amazing place to stay! I brought a larger group but it was plenty of space. It was a wonderful location as it felt like we were deep in the woods but were actually very close to amenities and Ellijay. The hosts were tremendous, providing plenty of useful information ahead of time and answering questions in a timely manner. Definitely a place worth staying!

We stayed at this property for a week and we really enjoyed our stay. The home was as described in the listing and how we expected it to be. The host was very responsive,welcoming and helpful. The home was very clean and equipped with what we needed for the stay. We really enjoyed the firepit outside with plenty of chairs for everyone. The kids enjoyed the pool table and the retro video games.I would recommend this property to others. We would definitely try to stay here again on our next visit to Ellijay.

This is a great location. The host was very communicative and left detailed instructions for everything. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. My kids had the best time playing pool, games and hanging out by the fire pit. Every morning we were greeted by a herd of deer and the evenings were spent outside roasting marshmallows. We were there during the apple festival and my family had the best time.

Family get away

The house was clean and quiet. It was easy to find the property, although the driveway was steep it was easy to drive up. Turning a large truck around was tricky, but doable. There are steps to go into the home, but not difficult once you have everything inside. The plates, utensils and glasses were all very nice. Some plastic dishes as well. We love to cook and would say the cookware needs to be updated. Looked as if other renters did not clean the cookware very well so it became scratched and grungy. Needed to put tinfoil down to use cookie sheets. Not a lot of cookware if you plan to cook in the oven. Only one dish, a cake pan. No knives for cutting, had to use a steak knife for prep. The coffee machine and waffle station were a nice added touch. A muffin tin would also have been nice and a large frying pan. If cooking isn’t important, then all would be great. We just like to cook as a family, so I always look for a well stocked kitchen. The home overall was beautiful and would stay there again.

Family vacation

Our family from FLA heads north for the winter to get away from the heat. We found this home exactly as described in the listing. Everyone in the group had their own room and plenty of space to separate. The hot tub was used in 22-degree weather and was much needed after a day hiking. We saw deer every day. My granddaughter looked forward to it every morning. Loved the location with paved road and close to town. Definitely would stay again.

We gathered for an early celebration of my birthday and our 50th Anniversary. Three of our daughters joined us fom SC, AZ and VA. We also were able to have our youngest daughter's godparents join us for Sunday dinner, as they live in Coosawatee. Nick is an awesome host who is very responsive.

Amenities Galore!

This property had everything you could imagine. They had games for adults, kids, and kids-at-heart. The kitchen was well-stocked and organized. They had everything labeled and provided more than the normal initial supply of paper and cleaning products. We were impressed with the coffee maker/keurig and espresso station, as well as, the waffle maker station. The kitchen table was long enough to sit our large family. The porch swing and rockers were very comfortable and relaxing for the adults and kids. We loved the hot tub, the fire pit, the patio, the everything! You definitely need to stay here for a relaxing and fun vacation.

Hillside Haven:10/10

This was our first Vrbo booking/stay and it exceed all of our expectations. From host communication, amenities, cleanliness, and location everything was 10/10. The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies (and the labeling was excellent), the Keurig/Nespresso was awesome, my kids loved the waffle station, the game room was perfect for my teens (whose mission was to beat the Pac-man high score), and we saw deer up close multiple times each day. We only live about 2 hours from Ellijay and were in the area for a weekend ball tournament. If we ever need to stay overnight in the area again, we would definitely look for Hillside Haven first!

Wonderful Mountain Retreat!

This cabin was a perfect getaway for our girls trip with our children. The downstairs was the perfect set up for our kids with bunk beds and an amazing game room. The extra amenities (waffle station and coffee/espresso) was delicious and a nice surprise. And the property owner was fantastic! They answered messages quickly and the check in process was a breeze. We definitely will be back again!

Perfect!

We stayed over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful stay! We were a group of 8 (2 tweens) and had plenty of space. The kitchen is the best stocked of all of the places we have ever stayed. Plenty of pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc and the table seated all of us which was a huge bonus! There were extras throughout that was helpful and thoughtful. We saw ALOT of deer and enjoyed the surrounding area. Communication with Nick was flawless with quick replies to any questions. If you are looking to stay in/near Ellijay, I highly recommend!

Great for family/friends!

Hillside Haven was perfect for our group of 11! Large bedrooms with large beds and open concept living area with large dining table to fit everyone! We liked that it had large TVs in every room and the plush towels were a plus. Basement area was great for kids to sleep and play. Board games provided for kids and adults. Everything you need in kitchen, labeled and organized and most important a coffee/espresso machine! Large pantry to store our food was nice. Space heaters provided in every sleeping area to help keep everyone comfortable. Scenery was beautiful and we saw deers everyday. The host was easy to contact and quick to answer any questions or concerns. Our family would definitely recommend this wonderful cabin to others!
