House was wonderful for our corporate retreat. Great accommodations the terrace level game room was well used by all. Beautiful location and we would stay here again. Thanks again for host being communicative and making sure everything was taken care of.

The house was beautiful, and we had a lot of fun during our stay. There were a few small problems during our stay (missing remote for TV - maintenance person couldn’t program a new remote, but offered to go buy one and come back. Also, we spent so much time trying to figure out the Sonos system, only to find out the Sonos system wasn’t working. We were told there was another speaker on the bar, and when we couldn’t find it, we were told it was brought to their other rental property. The owner of the house then same day shipped a speaker.). The biggest and worst problem came after we left the house. I got a text from Heather asking if I knew what happened to the bar cooler in the basement. I told her there was nothing wrong with it and multiple guests confirmed it was in working condition before leaving. She sent me 2 videos that her maintenance person had sent her, saying we broke the lid and the cooling system to the cooler. I kept telling her we didn’t do anything to it and it was working when we left. I was so angry and upset that we were basically being blamed for damage that we didn’t do, and felt like it was a scam since we didn’t take out the insurance on the property. The next day, Heather called me to say “sorry, it was our other property, the maintenance person got it mixed up.” I understand mistakes happen, but this is unacceptable to have this happen without confirming it was even at the correct house! Definitely a horrible way to have our trip end!

We stayed here for my wife’s 50th Birthday with 28 people. This home is amazing the views, amenities, recommendation for caters, florist. Everything was above and beyond expectations. First of all, it’s in a beautiful spot. The lake and the view of the lake is nice to wake up to. The house has a very relaxed, chill vibe to it, which is good. It was comfortable. We all enjoyed our time there.

This house was truly amazing for a large group. There was so much space. We really loved the basement, the long dining room table, giant couch, the outdoor fireplace, and the kayaks/canoe for the lake. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful location and all the details were thought through! We loved using the kayaks. The porches were wonderful for enjoying the beauty of the location. Close to Blue Ridge and Elijay for fun outings. Would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful home with "nothing" missing.Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly ever need. Baths had plenty of towels/washcloths as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash.Covered outdoor area was one of our favorite places to enjoy. Picture perfect views!It was an amazing place for 8 siblings and their spouses!

This property is even more stunning in person! There were about 16 of us who booked it for a birthday and honestly we couldn't have been happier with the house, amenities, and location. We cooked huge meals every night and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. The lake was a delight and all of the rooms are comfortable and beautifully appointed. There's plenty of space for people to do their own thing or gather in groups. The outdoor area with the grill and fireplace was everyone's favorite. Minor considerations:The two bunk rooms are connected so there is less privacy that I had imagined. Worth noting if you have a bunch of adults who want their own space, or have people who snore. We ran out of and had to replenish dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, and toilet paper. Still, this place is basically perfect and I would recommend it to anyone! We hope to revisit it next year.

Wheat Family Vacation

The cabin and property are beautiful. Everything in the house is as appears in the pictures. We loved the space for our large family with 11 adults and 10 children. Lots of room for everyone. The communication with the owners and manager was perfect. Lots of things to do in this area but we spent 2 of our days at the cabin Loved it. We will return here when we vacation to Blue Ridge area again.

We had a great 4-generation family vacation here. The house is lovely with plenty of rooms to accommodate everyone. The decor is high-end. There is now a full sized second refrigerator in the mud room which helped tremendously. Parking was more spacious than we thought it would be - we fit 10 cars at one point. The lake was a lot of fun yet quiet and secluded. Everything worked - there were no surprises. Wifi was good. TVs, though plentiful, were all differently configured and not easy to figure out - but it was July so no one was really watching them anyway. The house and yard was immaculately cleaned with all the linens and kitchen supplies expected. Overall highly recommended.

An Amazing Place

We held a family vacation with 28 people, with 15 being under the age of 11. This beautiful home exceeded our expectations in every respect. We never felt crowded. Given the ages of the youngest kids and the multi-level set up, safety was a concern going -in, but was not a problem. Communication was excellent. We will be back.

Perfect Family Reunion

Our family of 18 had a wonderful long-weekend at Lake Buckhorn Lodge. Ranging in age from 9 months to mid-60s, everyone had a great time. The living spaces provided plenty of room for us to gather, and the kitchen was well-equipped for a large group. The incredible sports bar/game room kept us all entertained. We especially enjoyed having use of the kayaks and canoes for the lake. We plan to return for our next family reunion.
