This cabin was located on a beautiful stretch of the Cartecay River. The views from the back decks are amazing! The cabin is also very spacious and provides all the needed amenities!

The perfect getaway for or family of 5 and dog! We have 3 boys and they absolutely loved the access to the river for fishing and playing by the fire. The house was cozy and clean and had more than enough room to fit us comfortably. Close to some main attractions and great hikes. Our only discomfort were all the spider webs on the porch. This made it a little hard to relax out there. Otherwise a fantastic trip and would recommend this location!

Check in was a breeze the key was in a lock box. House was very clean and welll supplied. Our only complaint would be the cob webs everywhere. We knocked down as many as we could to make it comfortable to sit on the porch. Miss Muffet spider spray would be a welcome addition to their cleaning supplies. Other than that it was wonderful. Very relaxing, the sound of the river was amazing and watching tubers going by was icing on the cake. I would recommend Rushing River Lodge to anyone. Oh, a king size bed in one of the bedrooms would be nice.

Rushing River Lodge

We are in our 80’s and didn’t realize that the master bedroom was on the 3rd floor with very steep and open stairs. We found that the main floor bedroom was much more accessible for us. However, the shower attached to that bedroom was not working so it was necessary to use the 3rd floor shower. We did, however, enjoy our stay and the river view was outstanding.

Best Anniversary Trip

The cabin was beautiful! Right on the rushing water of the Cartecay River and my husband had a blast fly fishing. Not the best river in the area for catching trout, but the property itself was perfect. At the end of the private road, on 3 acres where no one could bother us. We used the hot tub multiple times a day. If you cant use stairs, dont stay here because there are a lot. We found it to be the perfect piece of quiet paradise.

Great view and relaxing river sounds

This property is all about the view. You can not get a more beautiful river view than this cabin. Close to Atlanta and close to Elijay. It is well situated. The cabin was clean. Beds and bathrooms were comfortable and worked well for us. There is one way into this property. There is a turnaround down from the house. I never looked forward to using it, as it was tight and very high up. But it worked. Any issues I mention are overcome by the river view. I did wish they had better lighting in the main living area. It is all overhead and I find it glaring and uncomfortable. A couple of lamps would solve this problem. Also the TV's are really cheap and the sound is so bad it was very hard to make out what was being said. Volume doesn't help. A sound bar would save the day. Overall this is a beautiful property. Kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed ourselves and spent a lot of time on the beautiful decks with comfortable chairs. But the best part was sitting by the river at night with a little fire. Fantastic.

Awesome property

I rented this property for my wife’s birthday. When pulled onto the property and opened the door she said I hit it out of the park. This place is amazing. I would go back every time. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

Great Vacation Spot

Loved the cabin and the separate levels. The river was very beautiful. Cabin is located close to several small towns that were wonderful for shopping etc. the beds were challenging.

Family vacation

Beautiful cabin with the creek/river right below us. It was very peaceful. Lots to do nearby activities and shopping. Our family e hours out stay! A few kinks No curtains in the bedroom I stayed in or blinds over the windows. Morning sun became an issue. None in the den either. Which was great for the den/kitchen area because lighting was poor for cooking We noticed a leak under the sink in the kitchen and could only use one side of the sink Trash was knocked over every night. It needs to be more secured. Wonderful cabin just needs a little more TLC

Beautiful spot

Rushing River Lodge is secluded and on a river. The only people we saw while at the lodge were kyakers. River access is easy and the fishing was a blast. We love that each bedroom was on a different level so while we were together as a family, everybody had their own space for private time. It was a wonderful vacation!

We loved this cabin! The location on the river was perfect (the neighborhood driving in, not so much.) We appreciated that this was a dog-friendly property. It’s isolated enough yet still close to shops and restaurants! We had an amazing time!

Family Christmas vacation

This was the sweetest cabin in the mountains beside a beautiful creek! Our family truly enjoyed our stay here! So cozy from the Christmas tree to the fireplace to much more! We have told our family and friends all about this Awesome place and hope to come back again! Caught giant trout and saw multiple deer! We made many memories that will last a lifetime!
