My wife and I have stayed at "Just a Step Away" several times, and it is always a wonderful experience. The cabin is cozy without being too small. The hot tub is a wonderful amenity, as is the wood-burning fireplace. We also love the gas stove/range in the kitchen. The furnishings are comfortable. We also love the seclusion.This year we had a concern about the hot tub (Eric replaced the old one this year). I posted a note in the VRBO app and Eric got right back to me, explained what was happening, and allayed our concerns.Eric was also concerned about us coming up this year, given the inclement winter weather we expected this past weekend. We assured him we were coming, and he explained what we needed to do in the event of a power outage, given the home is on a well and if there were no power, there would be no water. We had no issues with the power despite two days of extreme cold and frozen precipitation.We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back next year.

We really enjoyed the remoteness of this cabin and all the amenities, especially the hot tub. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had some basic food staples available if needed. Excellent family weekend!!!

Overall, the cabin itself was exactly as described. I appreciated that. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. Eric was easy to contact- but be aware there is ZERO Wi-Fi once on that last mile. The hot tub was used once, and the water was definitely hot! We really loved the variety of games in the closet, and enjoyed playing Clue late nights. The beds were super comfy,(although high, -stools are provided if needed).The kitchen amenities were wonderful-loved the new gas stove, toaster-air fry oven, (would've preferred a Keurig). It was nice to have the 'little things' supplied- paper towels, tinfoil, spices, towels, extra blankets. The big downfall for us was the 1.4 mile road to get TO the cabin. If we didn't have the Nissan Rogue, most normal cars or large SUV's would NOT have safely made that trip! I wish that part was disclosed in the description. It caused us a LOT of anxiety each time we had to travel in/out- especially at night. If you want peace and quiet and to be AWAY from the craziness of life- this is the place for you.

This cabin was equipped better than most homes. It was clean and comfortable. The location was off the beaten path, as we didn’t see anyone else in the area from the time we left the paved roads down to the cabin which was on gravel roads. If you are seeking comfortable seclusion, this is a great place to consider. Communication with the owners was quick and efficient without being over taxing.

Pleasantly remote. We didn’t see a human or an automobile for three days! The property is remarkably well equipped. We brought things we thought we would need… it was already there. After a few days of relaxation we ventured out and visited Ellijay and Blue Ridge. We loved our stay!

We can't wait to go back! The cabin/house was perfect. Absolutely loved the screened-in porch and hot tub. The sounds of the forest were so soothing. The creek was perfect for us with the dogs. None of us were ready for our time there to end. Eric was a wonderful host.

We were looking to get away from the noise and stress of everyday life, and that’s exactly what we found at “Just a Step Away”. This property is so peaceful and is definitely secluded! Cozy, Lovely Cabin

This cabin was just as described in the listing. It was secluded, cozy, and well-equipped. Our family enjoyed every minute. The owner welcomed us with a message in the app and phone call on the home line ensuring we located the cabin okay, was quick to respond when we requested info regarding the hot tub (temperature is controlled remotely by home owner), and ensured all of our needs were met.We thoroughly enjoyed walking down to the creek, spending time by the campfire, lounging in the hot tub after a day of hiking, cooking out on the grill and eating on the porch, and playing board games.

Wonderful weekend!

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Spacious, secluded, and quiet… it was wonderful to sit in the rocking chairs on the back porch and relax!! Everything functioned as advertised, and we will definitely be back in the future.
