When we first came here, we thought this property was gorgeous and we were looking forward to a relaxing, yet short, vacation. We both work hard - I’m an attorney and my partner works in tech, and we wanted an opportunity to get away with our dogs, commune with nature, and truly rest before diving back into our demanding work schedules. We had the property to ourselves, read all of the directions and welcome packet several times, and realised there was a property upstairs, but assumed the owners rented out the basement apartment when they were out of town.

We had the property to ourselves, read all of the directions and welcome packet several times, and realised there was a property upstairs, but assumed the owners rented out the basement apartment when they were out of town. Later on, when hearing someone walking around upstairs, we learned that there was another occupant - this not clear from the listing, despite the listing saying you could enjoy 2.5 acres of land. We enjoyed our stay until then, but if we visit Ellicottville again, we'll likely stay elsewhere that is not a shared location.
