Carolyn and Paul were perfect hosts available when you need them but not intrusive. It felt like we had the place to ourselves and the distance from the other cabins ensured our privacy! "We had a fabulous weekend with our beautiful Airedale. The location is amazing, with views over a lake to the mountains. We loved the airy room, with polished floor and lovely bathroom. So quiet, but handy to wineries and the freeway. Our weekend at tonic was a real tonic away from the city!"

"Stunning pet friendly villas set around a peaceful lake. The villa was spotlessly clean, fully equipped little kitchen, very comfy king size bed and en-suite. Incredible views from our villa of the property and lake. Got to enjoy kangaroos sunning themselves around the grounds, a very peaceful location. The staff were very helpful and friendly too and very welcoming of our pup. We would absolutely recommend and property and will stay there again in the future. "

"Absolutely beautiful accommodation! It appeared that there were only a few rooms which made it very quiet. The property is was gorgeous, rooms were clean, spacious with everything we needed. It gave a very Tuscan style with beautiful views and kangaroos around. It was about a 2 min drive to Hunter valley gardens and Harrigans pub, making it a great location. I would definitely stay here again! "

"Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. "
