  • 2,000 square foot cabin that sleeps 10.
    Cabin includes a bonus/game room great for kids!
    3 Bedrooms include 2 master bedrooms, one with a soaking tub and the other with a jacuzzi access on the deck, 3rd bedroom has access to the deck.
    Deck is spacious with a BBQ and outdoor sink.
    Spacious living room with two pull-out sofa's.
    Fully stocked kitchen with an eat-in nook.
    Flat panel TV's in the living room and bedrooms with cable.
    Full washer/dryer.

    Rental also includes access to the Cedar Lodge Pool (walk or drive).

    Cleaning fee of $150 per stay.
    Deposit of $250 per stay.

    No smoking / no pets!
    Deposit will be forfeit for any violations.

    Non-paved road provides access to the cabin.
    Turn right after Cedar Lodge into the Indian Flats campground.
    From there, turn right (immediately) and follow the road up to the T, turn left at the T and you'll see the house.

This property was a very nice place to stay and conveniently located to Yosemite National park. We enjoyed our stay there very much. It was accurately described and our party of nine had plenty of room. We initially believed we were short on Linens and towels and we had difficulty contacting anybody as their phone numbers had been disconnected. After contacting the owner, the problem was solved quickly.

Great location to Yosemite for easy short drive/access. Comfortable spacious accommodations. Clean and easy check in and check out. Worked great for our family of 4 plus grandparents along to visit Yosemite.

Yosemite Retreat

This cabin was perfect for our needs. Very clean, well furnished, convenient to the park and (especially important this week), the air conditioning worked very well. Thanks for a wonderful visit!

Great place to stay. I thought it was in a neighborhood, but it is actually on the side of the mountain. It had a great view from the deck and a gas grill. the hot tub was very welcome after hiking Half Dome. If I had a suggestion or two, it would be to improve the Wi-Fi strength and the beds were not super comfortable. But overall, it was a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. It exceeded our expectations. Absolutely great location. Fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to cook here. House was clean and spacious. Would stay here again!

Beautiful property

This home is beautiful and actually more spacious than the pictures indicate. It was clean and had everything we needed but it’s best quality was its proximity to Yosemite. It’s just 10 minutes from the entrance and made it a breeze to get in and out of the park.

Excellent location relevant to Yosemite

You won't find a better location to stay within 30 minutes of Yosemite. Full house, hot tub, and privacy. A perfect retreat after a long day of hiking. 10/10 would stay again

Very nice location and the house is so roomy for 9 ppl. Wifi and large screen TV work fine. We enjoyed the deck and the jacuzzi. There are only 2 problems. There were a bunch of bats living inside the big red umbrella on the deck. When we opened it, the bat poops dropped like rain on us, thats gross! 1 dead bat dropped on the table and 6-10 bats hang on the top inside the umbrella. They were gone the next morning. The 2nd issue is the power outage happened when we came back at 5pm on our 2nd day. There’s a generator next to the power meter but it didn’t work. No oil inside so it probably is not in use for years. Because the water runs on a pumping system, we had no water too. So no water and electricity from 5pm till 9pm on Independent day. That’s not the owner fault, we probably had a bad luck. That’s why I still give the listing 5 stars. Just want to give other guests a heads up what might happen. Also the dirty uphill road can be slippery for front wheel drive cars or for used tires.

Great location great property!

We had a great day in your beautiful cabin in El Porto just above a fun campground and close to a cute resort. We found the property clean well supplied and it meant our needs to be close to Yosemite! Thanks again.

Terrific

This place is out of the way and when you pull up you wonder if you’ve made a mistake. But when you get inside and you’ll be very pleased by what you find. We enjoyed our stay very much. The appliances were new and it was well stocked with everything you will need.

Need a comfortable place to stay after a full day in Yosemite? This place is for you since it's so close to the park entrance! Just make sure you pick up some groceries on your way in and have fun!

Location and White Water Rafting

Perfect

We gathered here with family and friends from Switzerland. We knew we had made the right choice when they commented that this was a "perfect" place to stay... close to Yosemite Valley and the many trailheads/ hikes that started there, and all the conveniences of home. Perfect week.

Perfect retreat outside Yosemite

What a beautiful house up on the hill above the Merced River. This was the perfect retreat after a few days in the backcountry. It was very close to the main entrance of the park and gave us quick access to the Valley. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. Our friends were saying how they'd like to come back because it's the perfect house in the perfect location.

Relaxing get away

We loved staying here. It was perfect for our group! The deck was amazing and the grill out there. We spent every evening out there and the mosquitoes weren't even bad. The hot tub was a bonus! It's very quiet and secluded which we loved. It is also easy to get to Yosemite. Make sure you bring towels for the pool and hot tub.

The property is decent but came with several hiccups and disappointments!1. The dirt road which is steep to reach the property is full of big pot holes and our cars struggled and it was really scary2. We checked in at 9:30pm, Entered the property with 85f inside, took about 3 hrs to cool down3. The foyer light switches don’t work, the closest first light switch after enter were the dining room4. The property managers number listed on the wall don’t work anymore. There is another close contact listed don’t answer the phone and couldn’t leave a message . Even tried via VRBO but no use5. Two bathrooms are provided only with shampoo and conditioner but no body wash. 6. The hot tub generated soapy froth. Initially thought from jets but persisted even after stopping the jets. 7. Sofa converted beds were not clean. Appeared not used for a long time, some rusty particles on the sheetsOverall great views, great location, good memories but suspect management could have been much better as well as heads up on the access road. This is not a cheap rental, and expected a little more.

Wonderful house

We really enjoyed our stay at Hite's Hideaway. The house was spacious, comfortable and very well appointed. The kitchen had everything necessary for cooking meals. We even used the barbeque. The backyard was great for spotting birds (California quail, woodpeckers and jays). It had convenient access to the west Yosemite entrance. Would definitely stay there again.

Hites hideout

Our grandkids loved the game room and the big bathtub! This was a clean and comfortable home for ourselves, kids and grandkids to stay at while visiting Yosemite. The steep dirt road to access the house can be a bit challenging but it’s not a long way to go. We all enjoyed it and it is only about 7 miles to the Yosemite park boundary.

Great Yosemite Hideaway

This property is accessed by pulling through a campground area and older maps may not show that the location is accessible, but we had no real problem finding it. The road is somewhat steep and might be a challenge for small cars if snow or inclement weather was in effect. There is a steep set of stairs to the front and side doors. The home is spacious and well appointed, having been added on to. Access to Yosemite is ready to hand and this location is a great base from which to explore. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Family home

Not much to look at from the outside and up a very steep road, but inside was a fully stocked house with all the fixings. Beds were comfortable, house was very clean and air conditioning worked, which was needed since it was 103 outside. Not sure we would want to walk back from the swimming pool down the hill, due to how steep the dirt road is, but great to have the pool available. We would definitely stay there again.
