Pretty nice place;
This is wonderful place, property is nice and there are plenty of water sports available just steps away. It worths every cent 👍; definitely recommend it and looking forward to be back.

Beautiful Stay
We started our vacation for 4 nights here at this condo. Everything was just as described. We loved snorkeling a few feet away and we were grateful for the equipment that was at the condo. It is well furnished and has everything you need for a beach vacation. We loved our stay and will be returning.

Exceptionally Wonderful Experience!
I am so thankful we chose this Vrbo! The condo has everything you need for living and recreation. It’s a 1 min walk to the gorgeous beach with clear waters and great snorkeling! 1 of the 3 pools is just a hop and skip from the condo and all of them are convenient. You are surrounded by trees, flowers, and wildlife! We saw so many birds, friendly iguanas and monkeys! We enjoyed our coffee on the patio every morning watching the birds and monkeys and listening to the waves on the beach. It’s paradise! Father Roosters is right on the beach by the condo and they have great food, beverages (great piña colada!) and live music! To get into Coco Beach it’s a $10 taxi ride and the condo staff at the gate call them for you. Good restaurants and shopping in Coco and Culture. We also used Memo Adventures 2 of the days and did zip lining, horseback riding, water slides in the forest, swimming in waterfalls and an ecopark where we saw so many sloths, frogs and more. Really, this location has it all and the hosts are the best! The condo has local art and some hand painted pictures by one of the hosts that are beautiful. Booking this Condo made our trip incredible.

Perfection!
Perfect place for a getaway. Host goes above an beyond to make sure your vacation has EVERYTHING you need. Bikes, kayaks, snorkeling gear OH MY! You will also get an detailed itinerary of EVERYTHING you could possibly want to do in the area. Even if you want to do nothing, the secluded black sands beach is a 5 minute walk away. Couldn’t possible ask for more.

A little slice of heaven
Located on a beautiful beach the condo provided us with everything we needed and more including visits by the howler monkey family who entertained us on a regular basis. The beach was fabulous and it was just a short cab ride to town where there is an abundance of supermarkets and restaurants. Thank you Mark and Cheryl for sharing your bit of paradise with us.

Perfect for our first ever visit to Costa Rica!
Beautiful condo with views of a picturesque bay. Clean and neat as a pin. Mark is an awesome host. He made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The condo is very well stocked with beach gear. He even gave us access to his kayaks and bicycles! Getting into the gated property was a breeze. Four howler monkeys provided a welcome chorus at sunset on our first night but stopped after a few minutes and certainly weren't a nuisance or anything. Just couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our first visit. Highly recommend!! Pura vida!!

Beautiful location
We spent an amazing week at Los Almendros. We communicated with Mark before booking and we were very pleased with the communications. Mark answered all our questions before we booked and was an amazing host, providing us with all sorts of valuable information before we got there. As an owner, I would give him a 10* if I could. One of the best VRBO host we've had the pleasure of dealing with, and we use VRBO a lot. The unit is great, exactly as you see in the pictures. It's spacious, clean, comfortable beds and everything you need in the kitchen. The screened in porch is the best! All amenities, inside and outside the condo, were great. Monkeys, birds, iguanas right there, even a resident Tiger Heron at pool #2 that is very interesting to watch. Lots of snorkel gear, chairs, sun shade, beach towels, coolers... everything you need! We loved the condo complex and used 2 of the 3 pools, met some great people along the way. The beach is great, smaller but much quieter than Coco or Hermosa. We had a rental car and toured around, to see more of the surrounding areas. We didn't use the kayaks... I don't how we would have carried them up and down the hill :-) This is not a location for people with mobility issues. We are in good shape and the hill was steep, especially when the heat is at its peak! Staff at the reception were great and Carlos is super nice. Thank you Mark for opening your place to us and allowing us to discover Playa Ocotal. What a treat it was!

Paradise
My wife and I just got back from an amazing week in Playa Ocotal. The condo was well equipped and comfortable and had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive and answered questions within minutes. The condo complex itself was beautiful and the pools were great. The beach was one of the best I’ve seen with black sand with flecks of gold and we had Howler monkeys right off the balcony. We’ll definitely be back. Glenn and Kathryn

Relaxing, Peaceful & Friendly
What a great spot! The view each morning and evening was wonderful to take in. It is a beautiful quiet haven and is only a 10 minute ride to the busier del Coco. The host has thoughtfully arranged and supplied almost everything you might need (snorkel gear, chairs, generously supplied kitchen utensils, the list goes on). Lots of good spots to watch the sunset and a few other beaches to walk along as well. We liked Playa Ocotal as we weren’t bothered as much by vendors. Restaurants: Father Roosters on the beach is another awesome feature. In del Coco you have to go to Sol et Fuente - a unique experience. The Look Out at the top of one of the hills is pretty awesome too (5minite drive). We met lots of really nice people who either owned or rented at Los Almendros. They were all very friendly and welcoming. The staff were very attentive and informative. The grounds and upkeep are well managed. Honestly, we’ll be back again and would recommend this place to anyone.
