Family 4th of July vacation

We have been coming to Edisto for 21 years and have stayed all over the island. This was the first time we brought a pet and "The Best Place" worked out wonderfully .

Spacious and fully stocked

Great location with everything you'll need to make your vacation great. Paper towels and trash bags are the only items that aren't available at the property. We got to use the entire house except the patios. The back porch patio was covered in spider webs and spiders. Little uncomfortable having a meal out there. All outdoor patios need some cleaning and spraying for spiders and other bugs. Inside was very well kept. It was only my husband and I so we only used the kitchen, living room and master bedroom. I would definitely use this property again.

cute place

Cute cottage, very beachy decor. Nice open floor plan, well equipped kitchen. The view from the back screened porch is peaceful and beautiful. Great convenience to have a laundry room too. Rugs and couches in need of a good cleaning. Master shower very slippery, would suggest a rubber mat. Worked out great with our dog too. Would stay here again. to to clean the areavrugs to cleaning therugs

Nice house in an excellent locaiton

We rented this house for a long weekend to attend the Edisto Island triathlon. It is in a great location for the race, and it was exactly as described on the website. This house has everything that you need for cooking. The beds were comfortable, the check-in process was easy and the neighborhood was very nice.

thoughtful , comfortable, and charming

Thoughtful is the word that kept coming to mind. It's a lovely beach home with a comfy feel. The size was great and the spiral staircase to the upstairs sleeping room was so fun. The kitchen was the perfect size and well appointed. We made lots of meals, and had everything we needed to make everything we wanted and more pancakes to griddle seared steak with chimichurri. The kitchen also has a filtered water spout incorporated into the sink, which saved us buying bottled. Plenty of supplies to keep things clean while we were there and all the linens were provided as well. The dining room had the appropriate amount of seeting for the house capacity and a huge mirror behind it that made the space seem huge and light. Speaking of the lighting , the skylight in this house floods the space with natural light and views of palm trees. The beds were super comfortable! The screened porches were a big bonus . The front has a daybed , bookshelf filled with some good selections an and additional seating and is a great place to nap or read and leave your beach gear. The back has a table with seating for 6 with a view of trees , flowing water with lots of wildlife, with the golf course behind. I'm not a golfer but watching old guys argue on the golf course was hilarious. We felt so at home here. So glad we picked Edisto for my grandson's first vacation. He's 6 months old and I think imprinted for loving island villages for life. Note: plan for mosquitos.

Great

This was such a nice and convenient place to stay. I was so glad they had filtered water and we didn't have to buy gallons of water to drink! Loved the porches and the views from the back. We brought bikes and rode all over- to the pools and to play putt putt. You can ride a bike to the very south end of the island but it is covered in dead jelly fish and kind of stinks. But a quick 5 minute car drive will get you to some other nice beach access points. Thanks for letting us bring our dog, he had a great time too!

Amazing Little Oasis

The most well equipped house we've ever stayed in. The back porch overlooking the pond and golf course was the perfect setting for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. The dining room table was big enough for family game night. There was plenty of comfy seats for movie night. The laundry room was stocked for our use. The kitchen was complete with sponge, dishwasher soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap and every kitchen appliance and accessories we could need. We had a wonderful time because we didn't have to stress about anything. This home really is the Best Place ever!

Beautiful home!

The home was beautiful and actually exceeded my expectations. There was plenty of room for us and a short drive to the beach. There were only a few issues: quite a few roaches (which my sister said is somewhat normal for that area of SC, we are from PA), the guest bathroom toilet was broken (my husband bought a part to fix it), the master bathroom toilet didn’t flush, so we bought a plunger. Overall, We didn’t mind overlooking these issues because they were a quick-fix and the property itself was beautiful. The screened-in deck was our favorite room! We had a blast and plan on returning to Edisto next year.

Best Place/Oak Grove

The property was clean and very comfortable. The back screened porch offered a picturesque and peaceful area for morning coffee and evening meals. Minor updates needed in the kitchen. The stove and fridge function well but are in need of replacement. I would display pamphlets about areas of interest in and around Edisto; local restaurant recommendations; and a listing of stores to assist your visitors during their stay. I would not hesitate to rent this property again.

Great vacation home

The home was very nice it is decorated beautifully. The kitchen was furnished amazingly very pleased with all the they had to work with. I only have 2 complaints wish everything they had was listed like they have a gas grill we used 2 times and was very handy to have also, the griddle was handy, and the extra fridge in the laundry room was awesome to have. The other complaint the hot water went out Thursday I called the management they said they would send someone we had already showered so I told them next morning was fine. The guy came around 1 he looked at it left and it still wasn’t working and never did hope the next guest got it fixed. I know that isn’t the owners fault.

Wonderful, clean, lovely porch!

This was a beautiful property and spotlessly clean. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there even things that the listing said would not be. We enjoyed our time sitting on the screened in porch and watching the birds and the golfers. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Bayside beach and it took us a while to figure out how to get there walking! Everything about this place exceeded our expectations.

Family Stay 2020

The house was beautiful and more than expected. It was spotless upon arrival. Beds were comfortable. The view from the screen porch was amazing. We ate dinner each night out there. We saw, deer every night, and an alligator. The pictures do not do it justice.

Beautiful beach getaway

This beautiful little beach getaway is just minutes from the beach. We walked to the beach several times during our stay. Very clean with beautiful surroundings in a nice quite neighborhood/condominium setting. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Paradise

This property was just what the four of us needed for a quick weekend retreat! We visit Edisto yearly in the summer and need more space, but this was great for us this time of year and with a smaller group. If you're looking for a beautiful, clean, updated house, this is it!
