  • One of Edisto's Best! Barefoot Bungalow is a 4 bedroom elevated private home and can accommodate up to 10 guests with ease! Private off street parking is provided and the lot sits oceanfront so you will be sitting front row to the amazing beach views! The back deck is the perfect spot to lounge and watch the waves roll in. Charcoal grill and outdoor shower are also on property for guest use. Inside this charming bungalow you will find a kitchen equipped for cooking high-speed wifi and both washer and dryer for ultimate convenience. The living area is open and spacious with plenty of seating for a large group. There are 2 full bathrooms and a king bed queen 2 full and 2 twins in the home. The property is clean and welcoming. Come and experience this Edisto gem for yourself! Barefoot Bungalow allows up to 3 well behaved, house-broken, flea treated dogs with approval. When at the beach, location is key! And it doesn't get better than having a property right on the ocean. This house is a great all purpose beach house - and it was wonderful to be able to bring our dog. Grandkids loved the waves and we go to see a stampede of baby sea turtles hatch and make it into the water! Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and plenty of room for a family group to enjoy being together. We love this house!

We couldn't have asked for a better location. My Golden Retriever has anxiety and will not cross a paved road so i needed a house on the beach, and this was perfect It was equipped with everything we needed for cooking, essentials for getting started if you needed paper towels and such before going to the store, and the view was spectacular!We will definitely be renting here again and again. Our daughters and their families enjoyed coming to visit and being together for Easter at the beach.

Great house and area. Our only issue was the king bed. It’s lived its life and needs replacing. Some blinds in the kitchen and door in kitchen would be nice. Everything was clean and no bugs. Chairs were great and so close to store. We will rent again , Thank you

Convenient Beach House

This is the second year our family has stayed at this property. It’s a great location away from the public beach accesses and so easy to get on and off the beach!

This is a perfect beach house. The back deck is a wonderful asset - great to watch the waves, rainbows and sunrises. The house has lots of space for gathering indoors - well stocked kitchen and offered everything we needed. Being on the beach is the best!

The house's location is fantastic. While the photos show it has been updated, and I understand it's a lower priced beach front home in comparison to others, there are some minimum functional expectations, like being able to close the master bedroom door, that need to be improved. Additional items such as the dishwasher not being fully installed, just sitting under the counter and nearly coming out every time you attempt to open it, as well as the smell that permeated through the hvac vents every couple of days, did impact our stay. The response from the management team was quick and helpful regarding the smell, but again these updates are really needed. The parking is rough, I drive an SUV and my husband drives a truck and I barely fit under the house and he could not.

My wife and I had an extraordinary stay here, we can't wait to go back. Clean, perfectly located, updates where it matters, spacious, just wonderful. Process was easy and fully automated.

Great location, cute property and very clean. This was a mix of business and pleasure and Barefoot Bungalow was great for both. Parking is a smidge tight for a huge full-size SUV but other than that there were zero hiccups. We are already looking to rebook this house for a future vacation.
High tide is less than 100’ from the porch.
Moonrise on the porch at night is as good as it gets.

Great place!

All in all the place was great! Right of the beach! The only thing that would make it better would be if the full sized bed was a queen. The kitchen was well equipped. The fact that there was a walk in shower was amazing for my mother in law.

Barefoot Bungalow

We enjoyed our long weekend at the property. The location is great and the house worked well for us. We would recommend updating the kitchen fan, stove, and dishwasher.

Great place for family

We had such a great time. It was an older home, it could use a little updating but for the price it was great. It was oceanfront which is exactly what we wanted. Perfect for family.

Family vacation

Perfect location. Had to leave a day early due to tropical storm warnings since beach front. Hurricane in FL effects on Charleston and Edisto beach.

Heavenly!

We had a wonderful stay at Edisto. The home was clean and comfortable. The beachfront location could not have been any better! The management came by with a welcome gift. What a nice surprise. They were very helpful with any question or concerns that we had.

Nice House and Very Nice Beach

The house was nice and it was clean. The only real issue we had is that one bedroom had NO air or AC. Property manager installed a portable AC unit after a couple days. Very responsive. Beach chairs available downstairs. TV in two bedrooms and living room. Walks right out to beach; beautiful view.

On the beach.

We loved the house! Clean, full of light and ocean sounds. Kitchen has everything you need. Great washer/dryer. Needs updating of bathroom 2 shower fixtures and dishwasher racks. The ground level storage room needs cleaning and organizing. It’s a jumble of chairs and stuff. We would return!!
