Welcome to this spacious and private single-family home in a great area. Approximately 2,000 square feet (185 m2) spread over 2 floors. The first floor has a living room, eat-in-kitchen, bedroom and full bathroom. The second floor has 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom. Free parking in the driveway for 3 cars. A private backyard with patio. The house is a 10-min walk to Metropark Train Station. NYC in 45 minutes. EWR in 25 mins. Philadelphia in 90 mins. Washington, Boston, etc. also easily accessible.
This is a private, single-family home and it has 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is a front and back yard not shared with anyone. You will have plenty of space for your whole group/family at this property. The home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood.
You will have access to the entire property (except for the basement which is for the owner’s storage).
NJ Transit and Amtrak stop at Metropark Station (a 10 minute walk from the house — 0.5 miles or 0.8 km). You can arrive at Newark airport (EWR) in 20-25 minutes, New York City in 35-45 minutes, and Philadelphia in about 90 minutes. This house is ideally located for travel all around the Eastern United States.

Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival.
The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. No one will be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm) and we will not give refunds if you have issues checking in after 11 pm. The house does not have luggage storage.
Please note, the fireplace in the living room is decorative only and non-operational. Guests should not attempt to use the fireplace.
This is an older house that shows some signs of wear and tear. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what we can provide given the age of the house and layout of the house. The house looks like the photos in the listing and we keep it functional and clean. It is a basic house with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced place relatively close to New York City and Newark Airport (EWR), this would be a good house for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you.
We also just want to make clear that you are renting a private house and not a hotel room. There are many differences between house rentals and hotels, and some newer guests may not realize it. Hotels are large and often have many rooms, and the ability to change your room should issues arise. Hotels also have staff 24/7 that can help you with every issue or questions that you may have. On the other hand, we are a small operation and manage our listings to the best of our ability. We try hard to create a good experience for guests. We are including this disclaimer here because we have recently seen a rise in guests that seem to view our listing as very similar to a hotel, but in reality it is quite different. Thank you in advance for understanding this.
Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. You will receive the email and/or text about 30 minutes after you confirm your booking. Please complete the verification prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will be given the choice between a refundable damage deposit (administrative fee for this option is $10) or a non-refundable damage waiver (the cost is $35). This process is required. It is not optional. You will not be given access to the listing unless your status is `approved` from Truvi. You will need a valid credit card in order to complete this process. We are fully disclosing this here so that a guest cannot claim after booking that this was not disclosed. We will not give refunds for reservations if you choose not to comply or you are not approved.
Note: If you pay us directly with a credit or debit card, we will ask you to send a photo of the front and back of the card, and we will ask you to sign a credit card authorization form. The name on the reservation must match the name on the credit card and the name on the ID.
Your ID must be valid and current. If your ID is expired, you will not be approved to stay at our property and there will be no refund related to this.

If you submit a foreign, non-USA identification as part of the verification process, we will ask you to provide a United States government issued ID (e.g. tourist visa, permit to visit the country, state driver license, etc.), and an address and phone number in the United States for our records.
Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).
If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.
Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!
If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.
If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.

Just wasn’t clean
I recently stayed at this property and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the neighborhood was great—quiet, safe, and conveniently located—my accommodation left much to be desired.Upon entering the room, I noticed that the floors were dirty, which immediately set a negative tone for my stay. To make matters worse, there were no nightstands by the beds, making it inconvenient to place my belongings. The most alarming issue was finding a dead mouse on the floor. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and maintenance.Overall, the place felt disorganized and not well cared for. With a bit more attention to detail and cleanliness, this could be a lovely stay in an otherwise great area. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it in its current state.

The house is spacious but it’s dated and there were some cleanliness and quality of life issues. The main level floors and kitchen cabinets were sticky and visibly dirty. The upstairs shower stall faucet leaked so much it was unusable. The issues we had with the tv not working and the heat being set to a low temp without access to change it were met with resistance by the host. The stairs are quite steep and were difficult to manage with a toddler and an elderly parent. While bed linens and bath towels are provided, no other paper products are provided except one or two rolls of toilet paper. There are no rods for the towel or toilet paper racks and no nightstands in the bedrooms. There is ample parking in a nice quiet neighborhood. And as mentioned earlier, there was lots of space for our family. However due to the cleanliness issues and the lack of simple working amenities, we will not stay here again.
