Ubicacion adecuada
Teniamos una estancia de 3 dias con una habitación exterior. El 1r dia nos indican que la habitación está en el piso - 2 pero que segun ellos no es un sotano. Bajamos en el ascensor y delante mismo tenian aparcados un monton de carros de distribución de sabanas. La habitacion correcta segun lo esperado pero la ventana tenia vistas a un muro a 2 metros de distancia. Les dijimos que no queriamos esta habitacion . Segun ellos el hotel estaba completo y al dia siguiente nos canviarian de sitio. Al dia siguiente conseguimos cambiarnos a una habitacion mas espaciosa y con hista a la calle pero tras perder unas tres horas intentando hablar con los recepcionistas. Por cierto en la receoción dejan a un estudiante al frente de la mayoria de problemss

En general, todo bien. Lo que más me gustó es que es un establecimiento tranquilo, limpio y relativamente cerca del centro. Lo que menos es que echamos en falta alguna percha para las chaquetas, no había ninguna y que la habitación resultaba un poco justa con la cama supletoria.

A 5 minutos andando del centro de Edimburgo, buen hotel, aunque la habitación se quedó un poco reducida al poner cama supletoria.

Hace unos meses reservé para alojarme aquí pero mi viaje se canceló . Pero un familiar mío se ha alojado hace poco tiempo y me ha comentado que el hotel está bataante bien . Grande , Moderno , limpio y bien situado y el desayuno bien también . Así q si sería recomendable teniendo en cuenta el precio que el pago. Sin duda me alojaré allí cuando pueda hacer mi viaje !!!

El hotel está bien comunicado y en zona tranquila. Lo que no está también es el tema del aparcamiento: hay que usar parking privado en el que el hotel ofrece descuento

Zona tranquila a 10 o 15 min anda de la old town ,
Muy bien salvo primer desayuno se.juntaron 2 grupos que hizo que las bandejas de.comida estuvieran vacías para los que iban llegando después cómo nosotros y no hubiera ni cafe... pero fue culpa de un grupo que llegó tarde , el resto de.días tranquilo y todo perfecto , habitaciones muy nuevas, buena limpieza. Zona tranquila . Personal amable. Volvería sin duda.

A very bad experience, being arranged by the front desk in a room on the LG floor of the hotel, the bedside lamp in the room is broken, the TV remote control is not working properly, this is not the worst situation, the most unbearable is the strong smell of mold in the air and can seep into your clothes. Stayed in this room for two nights. It was a terrible experience. But the hotel staff was very hospitable.

We were sent an email before arrival telling us which car park was nearest and the hotel have a discounted rate. So after a 5 hour drive that’s where we parked on 30.12 23. When we checked out in 01.01. 24 we were informed the car park was locked till 03.01.24 no one had told us . The hotel did nothing to help us we had to arrange a hire car ourselves as we had work the next day.then we had to make a trip 9 hours total back to drop the hire car off and collect our car. This is poor service from the Accor group and will be seeking compensation.

Zojuist terug gekomen van 2 nachten in dit hotel. Prima hotel, vriendelijk personeel, stille en schone kamers. Busverbinding naar het centrum op 2 minuten lopen en te voet naar het centrum doe je er ongeveer 15 minuten over. Ontbijt was prima.

Hotel was in a convenient location. 25 min walk to start of Princess Street. Staff good and helpful . Nice breakfast . Room disappointing as it was very small , heating didn’t seem to work room was cold.

Good location. Did not like room at all - window faced a wall so was very dark. Bathroom door was broke and didn’t shut fully. Bathroom was a wet room which I don’t like and didn’t find very clean. TV only worked intermittently. Housekeeping opened door without knocking whilst I was getting dressed.

I booked this as a special treat for my daughter’s birthday. On arriving in our room there were water marks all over the wall and areas that it had clearly been patched up but not decorated properly. There were also stains on the sheets. Our room was freezing so I was going to call reception but discovered no phone in the room so had to get dressed (was in my pyjamas) and go down to reception to ask for help. The lady on reception was very helpful and came up to help sort out the heating. The next morning I wanted to use the hairdryer. However, I soon discovered that was broken. I called reception using my mobile phone and they said they would send up a replacement. After waiting for nearly half an hour I gave up and went out with wet hair. Finally, on the last morning we flushed the toilet and water just get pouring into the toilet and it then wouldn’t flush. We were checking out anyway so I told the lady at reception and she was very apologetic and offered us a small discount. However, for the cost of around £300 for two nights I felt that the discount wasn’t very much. I would definitely think twice before booking another Mercury hotel.
