A good location

Stayed for one night in Spring. Paid 350 odd pounds for what is around 18 or so hours of rented time. Was a great location re the royal mile however was surprised to receive a message apologetically asking us to not use too much power. Also surprised to find the heating on timed meters which automatically switched on and off. Switching off at 2000 and not coming on again until the next day - its a cold town/place and if we have paid GOOD money to stay for a few hours and we are cold,,,we should be able to get warm. If the meters were adjustable there were no instructions and we aren't electricians. Also did not appreciate receiving a calendar reminder to be out by 10...im away from work and away from calendar reminders. Check-out time is covered in the agreement to stay so a reminder was not required. After 6 weeks travelling Europe this is the only place/experience that I have not provided a good review to sorry. If you want to get good/top money for your place then you need to look after the paying guests.

Clean and cozy

Great location in walking distance to everything without the noise of downtown. It was clean and cozy. Though only one bedroom, we did make use of portable folding bed. It was very comfortable, nothing like the usual bar in your spine pull out mattress that you often get as a second sleep option. The owner was very helpful and anticipated many of the usual questions, Highly recommend

Great location, cozy place

The location is near the Holyrood Palace and the end of the Royal Mile. Every place we wanted to visit was just a short walk away. To make it even more convenient, there is a bus stop just outside both the local and hop on/off buses stop there.Debbie was great in sharing what we needed to know to have a great stay and was quick to reply to any questions we had.The kitchen had everything we needed for breakfasts and lunches. The welcome book gives directions to a local Co-op food store that is a short 10 minute walk away.If you're not familiar with UK cooktops, don't panic, just search YouTube with the cooktop brand name and you'll find great videos that tell you about the various setting and how to use the range.It's great to have a free place to park the car that isn't on the street.Thank you Debbie for a great place to stay.

Quiet Neighborhood & Close to Sights

This was a lovely home for us, was clean, had plenty of towels, etc., and in a quiet neighborhood. It was easy to get into town to see the sights and have dinner. The host responded quickly when we were confused about how to adjust the heater. We’d stay here again.

It was a really good location and clean and supplied with enough towels… second bed is okay not very comfortable but fine for a few days… communication with host was excellent and includes Netflix use which was appreciated!

Comfortable, clean unit it wonderful location

We absolutely loved our stay here. This was the only place we stayed that had truly wonderful pillows and EVERY anemnity we could ask for! She even provided wonderful robes that we utilized! It Is in a FANTASTIC location, but as foreigners, it was slightly difficult to find as driving in big cities on the “wrong side of the road and vehicle” was mind-boggling! Just be prepared! But it was nice being Right on the outskirts of all the craziness, but close enough to walk to it all very easily. Truly perfect location! A few things to take note about. The front door locks behind you! Our phones were locked inside, so we had no way of contacting the owner and had to knock on our neighbors door to use their phones to call a locksmith! Luckily, our neighbors were absolutely fantastic and we made new friends! Also, that heater thermostat was quite hard to figure out how to adjust, but I think we managed as the unit finally warmed up! Lastly, again, being a foreigner, the washing machines there are very different than ours! We assumed this was a washer dryer combo. It is simply a washer! We had quite the menagerie of clothes drying throughout the house! 😂

Great little spot

It’s in a great location - short walk or even shorter bus ride to the main city center but also right off of royal mile. Close enough but far enough away that it’s quiet and peaceful. Although they offer a blow up mattress (I think I saw one in the closet), it is quite small, so best for 1 person or a couple! Thanks!

Awesome location

My daughter and I stayed there and the location was perfect . We didn’t realize until our last day that we were literally across the street from Holyrood Castle and that the hop on hop off stop was in front of the apartment ! Could have been a better location !!

Best option hands down

We can't say enough about this property. Debbie went above and beyond to help us out and provided just enough support. She offered assistance if needed, but left us to enjoy the space and area. Several reviews comment about the proximity to everything, but it really was beyond expectations. We walked everywhere and if you want to do a tour, it stops right outside the flat. The space was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Right down to the cozy duvet at the end of a long day of touring and walking. Don't spend any further time looking for an option. Highly highly recommend. Thank you Debbie for sharing this remarkable space - Tammy and Dave

I really liked how close you where to Holyrood Palace, and Edinburgh Castle. The doors, locks, and more importantly the bathroom were pretty confusing. My parents wanted to take a shower, however the "main" was turned off, and they did not know how to activate the shower. They had to take a bath instead.

Lovely flat felt like home

Debbie was very accommodating and communicative. We got a little lost on the way and Debbie took time away from her own vacation to give directions and then made sure we got there okay. Once inside, we were pleasantly surprised to find detailed instructions and labels designed to aid in our stay. The furnishings were comfortable and the flat was cozy. The photos don’t do it justice…this place was beautiful and immaculately clean. We had three in our party, so I slept on the rollout cot in the living room. It was very comfortable and the bedding was soft and warm. This place felt like home.

Great Location for the Royal Mile

This lovely apartment is right across the street from the Palace Holyroodhouse, and a block away from the Royal Mile. My sister, my two cousins, and I stayed here on our recent trip to our clan gathering in Scotland. Being from the states, we were puzzled by the way the lights turned on and off, how the shower worked, and how to adjust the temperature. All was answered when we were able to reach Deborah by phone. Keep in mind, the switches for the lights are at the bottom of the lightbulb itself, and the thermostate,for adjusting temperature, is on a table in the living room (not clearly stated in the book) and very easy to adjust. We felt safe in this location, and were able to thoroughly enjoy the Royal Mile on foot each day.

Great Flat

The flat was cozy and offered required amenities. We were pleased with the cleanliness and tasteful decor. Deborah was always prompt in communication, and asissted woth our questions. I highly recommend this location and would definitely stay again should we find ourselves back in Edinburgh!

Phenomenal location

We stayed here twice at the beginning and end of our holiday in Scotland. Check-in is wonderful and the location cannot be beat. Once we parked the car, we did not have to drive any further within Edinburgh. On the second check, we had issues with the apartment being cleaned, which were quickly rectified within an hour. We would highly recommend and stay here again.
