"We stayed for a week over Christmas. The room was clean, comfy and fairly modern. The staff were amazing; helpful and respectful every time we spoke to them. The breakfast was good; selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit and pastries for a light breakfast. Sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans if you wanted something hot. Overall, excellent value for money!"

"It was snowing when we arrived. The room was very cold because of no heating. I returned to reception, complained and the heating was connected, After a few hours the room heated up. At 2 am I woke up. The room was very cold and without heating. I called reception for more that 30 minutes but no one answered. In the morning I complained. The hotel answered that there was nothing that could be done. No shampoo in the room. I will not return. Not recommendable."

"We stayed in the Linwood Suite for 1 night. The room was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast was of a high quality. The room is immediately above the function area and noise travels easily (there was a wedding reception) - we weren't warned about this previously but it was not a problem as we went out to dinner and the noise quietened down before midnight. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by loud noise in the room. It was a mechanical noise which sounded like a generator...

You have the proprietor's mobile number should you need to speak to someone. I would say that cleaning needs to be more meticulous, and maintenance and upkeep of the facilities (roll holders, bathroom shelves etc) has to be more regular..."

For the last couple of nights of my stay, there was heavy music and loud conversations continuing into the early hours of the morning, which was completely unacceptable for a hotel environment. "Beautiful entrance and bar area however room very dated and old. Painted furniture had lots of scuff and scrape marks no telephone to call reception or order room service, no refrigerator. Pool was closed when we arrived (16.00). Gym very minimal."
