  • Es una cabaña rústica, totalmente artesanal. Justo debajo está el río Chowan y en la desembocadura del Sonido Albermarle. Está lleno de perca blanca y puedes pescar cangrejos. Fogata afuera para asar malvaviscos. Tiene un camino que sale del porche trasero que te llevará hasta el río. Es muy bueno para hacer ejercicio. Se proporciona leña para la hoguera. También hay una hoguera con leña en la playa junto al muelle. Hay un carrito de golf para aquellos que optan por ir al río en lugar de caminar.

What a special place! We stopped here for 1 night on our way to the coast and we are so glad we did! My 2 young boys, my husband and I loved the detail and thought put into the design and decor of the property. Definitely be sure to walk up to the gorgeous main house up the hill to see the view and enjoy the rocking chairs. Chattting with Kim and exploring the property made our visit really memorable! The beds are so comfortable, the cabin is adorable and we had a wonderful stay!

Property presents as posted; it was exactly what we were expecting. Gorgeous view is a short walk over the hill. The neighbors and dogs were all very welcoming and friendly. Playing fetch with Axle was an unexpected highlight of the trip! We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space and look forward to experiencing it during another season.

Family of 4, 2 teens… we can’t wait to go back to the little cabin in the woods. Plenty of room and we could read, watch tv, play games without being in each other’s way. Kim and Doug are wonderful Vrbo hosts. The cabin was spotless and inviting. They provided a golf cart for our use, invited us to use their porch, cooked out and asked us to join them, offered to take us on their pontoon boat, and took us on a tour of their cabin. They shared their stories and time with us and are truly just great people. We went into Edenton and enjoyed the shops and small town charm. We took a cooler with all the food we planned to make. There are 2 small fridge/freezers. We also took our own games. Great trip!

Weekend get away.

Wonderful get away, very quiet and relaxing. We really enjoyed spending a day in Edenton. People were so friendly, and we learned a lot about the local history.

Beautiful Place to Stay

Highly recommend, very Beautiful Cabin. Decorations in the cabin were so pretty. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Will definitely be staying again.

Comfy 2 beds. Quiet day and night. Private (even with houses around, all empty during our stay). Beach access is 5 min walk. Owner allowed us to walk up the main house to access the dock and beach (see pic of view). Very shaded around the house. Gas grill back at patio. Loved having the needed screened in patio (lots of carpenter bees around, they don’t sting). Well equipped kitchen, basic seasonings there. Bring shower soap and shampoo. Nearest grocery store is 22 min drive (ok for us). Small ramp 5 min walk, good enough to load a jetski, and up to a small boat.

The cabin is beautifully situated and looks just like the pictures. It was quiet and peaceful. We had a great stay. We brought a kayak and had a great time on the Chowan River where we saw 4 bald eagles. The cabin is very comfortable with all the kitchen items you would need. The bathroom and shower were clean. Beds were very comfortable. The screened in porch was a pleasant place to read and talk. Doug is a great host (and I'm sure Kimberly is too but we didn't get to meet her). There was some delay in getting a response when we checked in (we couldn't find the key) but Doug apologized profusely as he later told me he was away working all day and his phone died so that's why his response was delayed.There was a golf cart for our use but it was not working so Doug immediately went to work on it and generously let us use his practically new John Deere UTV to get around and tow the kayak trailer down to the river. In spite of the minor issues we would definitely stay again. With VRBO I'm used to having check in and check out instructions readily available in the app or posted in the property. I might have overlooked it but I suggest making it more obvious for the next visitors.Thank you Doug and Kimberly for a delightful visit to your beautiful cabin!

Private setting

We checked in quietly and enjoyed a beautifully built log cabin. Everything was set up great with an amazing bathroom, and awesome decorations. We had a very private and quiet time to relax and enjoy each other.

Lovely log cabin...just right. It sleeps 6 but was perfect for the 2 of us. Nicely decorated and attention to detail. Will visit again when we can take advantage of all the extras. We visited in January...perfect to relax away from work.

A Great Hide-Away

This was an absolutely beautiful little cabin! It felt more like we should be in the mountains than close to the coast, but that was part of the charm. The pictures do not lie, but they do not show what a gem this place is.

Perfect getaway for 2.

Perfect getaway for a couple. I think it’s perfect for 4 people but any more it would be tight. Loved having the golf cart to get down to the water to sit on the dock.

Nice getaway

Spent a weekend at the cabin for a last minute get out of town trip. Cabin was very clean, comfortable beds, and kitchen had all we needed for a short stay. Nice quiet location, short walk or golf cart ride to the river. Kids really enjoyed poking around the wooded areas and the water.

My wife and I stayed here to get away. It was quiet and amazing. No more than a short car ride to any historic place. We visited Edenton and fell in love with the town
