  • Enjoy the relaxed decor and feel at home feel at home in this 1600 soft, 1949 cottage. 1 block to historic Westover General Store and Pembroke Creek and Old Clooney Smoke House. 1 mile to downtown Edenton.
    The space
    Newly remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 bath 1949 Cape Cod just 1 block to Pembroke Creek, Historic Westover General Store, and Old Colony Smokehouse. 1 mile to downtown Edenton . The kitchen has all you need to prepare your meals. Granite countertops and stainless steel deep sink. Newer Kitchenaid appliances and Front load wash dryer for your use. Remodeled master bath features a walk in shower with glass doors, granite counter and ceramic tile floors. The new hall bath has a tub/shower combo, larger vanity and ceramic tile floors. Both bathrooms have LED bluetooth mirrors so you can listen to you favorite music with surround sound while you shower.

    Screen porch and deck make relaxing easy. Charcoal grill is available for your use.

    Parking is a carport with an additional space next to it.

    No smoking of any kind in the house.
    Guest access the whole home and unfenced yard
    Other things to note
    Additional $50 fee for pets will be charged prior to check in. Guests are required to pick up after their pets. Pets must be controlled at all times. The yard is not fenced.

Every bit of technology, entertainment areas inside and out were comfortable. Great appliances for cooking. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. Dog walk access to run them just down the street. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This is a charming house with a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy with friends or family. It’s very close to downtown Edenton and there is a nice park within walking distance at Pembroke Creek. We put our kayaks in one evening and watched the ospreys fishing while the sun set. The house has everything you need to feel at home, and the homeowner is a lovely person - easy to communicate with.

Melody's home is beautiful and comfortable inside and out. I was traveling with my daughter's family and teen girls. There was enough space for us to spread out and relax after long days of exploring Roanoke Island aquarium, the Outer Banks, sunsets over the Chowen River, and fossil digging (Edenton Fish Hatchery). Looking forward to staying at your home again!

WOW! What a wonderful place to spend time with family. The cottage was clean, very comfortable, well stocked and exactly as described. Evenings on the patio allowed us to enjoy the quiet neighborhood and watch the stars come out at night. Our dog Roscoe loved the location as well. We couldn't have more pleased with our stay. Our host Melody is incredibly kind and so accommodating. Communicating was a breeze and the response time perfect. It's no wonder Melody is rated as a Premier Host.We love the area, the history, the downtown area and the parks were amazing. The Westover Deli, Downtown Roots and The Herringbone restaurants provided great options for dining in and carry-out. The shops and boutiques along S Broad St filled our shopping needs (and wants) and early stops at the local coffees shops helped get us moving in the morning.We plan to return and would definitely recommend the Cape Cod Cottage at Pembroke Creek to family and friends!

The cottage has everything, it felt like our hike away from home. The house is very clean, it smells amazing, coffee/tea bar is more than 5 star quality. Our family and friends will continue to rent here every stay during our Edenton visits. Thank you for everything.

What a peaceful area, Lovely garden and walking distance to fishing area. The house had and old home charm! My grandson loved watching the birds and squirrels.

Family Reunion Weekend

The house is quite comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Hosted a small family get-together on the first night outdoors on the patio. Loved the large table and the many seating options on the patio. Melody, the host is very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

House was very unique and well stocked. It has a lot of charm! Perfect for our stay! There was a market at the end of the street that serves AMAZING sandwiches as well - Westover Market!

Close, quite and comfortable

While there were some upgrades in the process we were very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were close to the activities and yet were in a very quite neighborhood.

Edenton is a beautiful town

I could not have found a better location to easily see the sites. The home was perfect! The interior was warm and welcoming. The host cared enough to personally follow up with me to make sure all was well.

Annual Edenton Reunion

This house was perfect for the family members with small children. The kiddos loved all the toys and enjoyed using them. I wish the house was walkable to downtown where the reunion action was but it was more important to accommodate the little ones. We will use this location again!

Charm + Location

Older house (being renovated) w/ a ton of character. Prob the most comfortable bed I've slept on outside of my own house. We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch at night and for morning coffee. A short drive from downtown Edenton (~ 5 min) and an even shorter drive from Old Colony Smokehouse (a must-do) if you time your trip right.
