"Lovely old house with beautiful garden. The host was very helpful and friendly. I stayed in a small single room that had it's own exclusive large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with good choice, fresh fruit and range of eating times."

"The owners of this property have really paid attention to the details. Although unassuming from outside, the rooms are nicely finished including extras such as "rocky road "! The shower room is finished to a high standard with a very effective shower. Breakfast, once sgain, was well presented with a range of items, including a full breakfast, freshly cooked. Recommended if you're staying in Penrith or, like us, just breaking a long drive."

"I stayed at the Copper Kettle because it was a relatively short drive to the Howgills where I wanted to do some walking. I thought the price fo rmy stay was very reasonable and included breakfast (what I really wanted) and a packed lunch. The double room was spacious although the en-suite was a bit cramped but it was okay for me. The accommodation met all my requirements and I would have no hesitation in staying here in the future."

"Oakfold house is convenient located in Bowness on Windermere, a mere 2-min walk to bus-stops going towards the pier or to Grasmere. We had also walked 15 mins to the pier and 15 mins to Windermere town centre.Its proprietors, Chris & Robin are attentive and hospitable hosts who ensure we have a pleasant and memorable stay in Windermere, giving us advice to make our way around.
